well been playin hard out with the logitech pad & my thumb hurts if i use the direction button

dont hav that problem if i play with the analog stick, but it doesnt seem to give me the same precise control

i wonder wat others r doin about this!!!

do i jus need more practice with the analog stick or wat?

cheers!

I don't have precise control with the analog stick either. I use a Logitech Dual Action.

I had to train myself not to press so hard! No matter how hard you press, your guy isn't going to run any faster! I had to constantly tell myself that, and eventually I got used to playing for long stretches without any thumb pain. Just tell yourself to ease off. That's how I did it.

He's right, mate. Take it easy when you play. Don't take this lightly, you could get all sorts of crap from this sort of injury so do take some precautions.

the analog stick is not precise ???? mmhhh... i have the logitech rumble pad with 2 analog sticks...

i mean you can play much more precise with analog because you also can press it very softly in a direction so your player doesnt run anymore but walks with the ball ( great for dribblings) ... and also passing, shooting ... is more precise than playing with the directional button, which allows only 8 directions ! i think you need practice

heh...the new PES player, get used to it son, pretty soon you'll develop 4 extra layers of skin on your thumbs, and what we call the "evolution thumbs", you can recognise them a mile away :D

ps. yeah, take it easy too dude ;)

First let me state that I've never owned a PS2, so I have no idea how the Logitech controller 'feels' compared to a PS2 controller. It's buttons of course are set up in the exact same way as the PS2 pad.

Having said that, it's hands down the best controller you can buy to play PES on the PC in my opinion.

i've got a nasty blister on one of my fingers from playing this too much. strange thing is, i never noticed until i loaded up gran turismo 3 yesterday. shows how it can make you play through the pain barrier!

dont worry
physical labor toughens the skin
soon you won't feel any pain at all ;-)
