I saw there is no tips & tricks thread in here and some other forums has full section for it . So opening a new thread for Tips Or Tricks might help some of us to win there matches or pass there seasons .

Here is my first tip if you are loosin by 1 or 2 goals switch your strategy to ALL ATTACK and you'll score at least 1 or 2 goals .

You also have to understand that if you set it to all attack you become more vulnerable in defence. I would suggest you change your teams mentality to auto attack in the team section. It's not as aggressive as all attack and helps you maintain balance while pushing for the equalizer. Auto attack is always on for my Real Madrid, even when I'm winning. I wouldn't use all attack until the last 15 minutes of the game.

I understand what you mean (like what happend it R.madrid in past 2 seasons) but you try it against AI only not against a person and see the magic .

Another trick when you are a defender and you have the ball and feel there is a pressure from othere attackers on you and you still wanna have the ball (some people do (like me) ) press the short pass and long pass together and you'll find you're oppenet slide all way up .

My mate told me you can dive in the box to con the ref into giving a penalty. Is this possible or was my mate lying?

When playing stronger teams, work that counter-attack (set it as a tactic). Lots of one touch passing and, with some luck, you'll get a 2 forwards vs 2 defenders situation, which is not bad at all.

Play fast. CPU can't handle 3-4 short distance 1-touch passes.

Press the shoot button. A lot. You never know when your forward can slide in and put that ball in. I've been pleasantly surprised many times, and my forward isn't even that great.

Special Curling Chip Shot

While running parallel to the goal (with players dominant foot furthest away), hold L1 and press shoot button.
The move can be performed by af very limited number of players i.e. Del Piero, Rooney, Henry.

I concur,

For myself, there was a distinct learning curve. I started off frustrated at the number of fouls I was conceeding, the ease with which I lost the ball and lack of goal-scoring opportunities. However, now I am top of the league on six stars and winning every game I play against the CPU.

The major change for me came when I realised the importance of the X button. In PES4 I would often use "through-ball" for little lay-offs etc in midfield during build-up play. In PES5 I can't do that as "through-ball" doesn't always pick the pass I was intending. However, X does most of this by itself now. Keeping the ball moving, quick (and accurate) passing really is the key now. If defending, just sit back and wait till the CPU squanders possession on the edge of your area.

Before you know it, you will find the game tooooo easy!!!
