I don't know if you meant this as a joke, but it really is quite absurd. Firstly, PS2 emulation isn't advanced enough to run any/many games smoothly. Secondly, emulating a PS2 would take up more resources on your computer. And lastly, the lagging you find on the PS2 also appears on the PC. So uh, yeah, you get my point right?

lol very funny :P

If your PC cant run the PC version of PES4 smoothly then an emulator wouldn't stand a chance, in most cases the performance hit is immense, not because of slow PCs but because the emulator itself is slow. That is of course if you find a working emulator, i would happily bet a lot of money that there isnt a single emulator available that could run PES4 correctly (without any graphical glitches), most are still at the stage of playing home-made demos (not the demos off magazine disks)

Uh... it is kinda strange try to put a PS2 game on pc when you have a specific PC Version...

If they wanted you to do this they had not released PC Version...
Emulators requires a lot... and... guys on emulation area are still working to have entire games without trouble...

Ashraf, you clearly don't have any clue do you?

By the time there is a 100% working PS2 emulator and computers that are fast enough to run it, there's probably already a PS4

I don't know about you guys but I play PES4 PC verry well.

Ashraf, even though the specs for PS2 are much lower than the computer, you must realise that computers run Windows, which actually means Resource Hog. Well in any case you won't be running a souped up PS2 on your computer anytime soon. Even when you do it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

LOL

man, obviously you have no idea how PS2 works
PS3 can have 800 Mhz and 128 Mb RAM and your PC will be absolute sh!te comparing for this and games which could be run on it

all components in PS2 were designed for specific job, 3D effects etc. to run games smoothly so it can have 300 Mhz but your PC won't be able to run emulated Gran Turismo 4 with 60 fps unless you would have Pentium 8 GHz and 5 GB of RAM with GeForce 10.000

you could do this, but it had to be coded for PC like it was with PES4 (conversion) or better coded from the beginning

plus

PS2 "emulator" is a joke now, it can run, and by run I mean that you can play it normally, only one game if I remember well, and it was some 2D fighter

most of games crashes instantly and few of them can show first game logo or, if you have luck you can even see a main menu, then of course crash
some games even can show smth more than main menu like first loading stage menu, WOW...

and all of that with shocking 1 fps/s...so you may forget about working PS2 emulator able to run games for next year (at least)

sorry for clearing up things but life is brutal

so what

Lack of knowledge is excusable, stupidity is not. I mean if you're clueless then better don't open your mouth and present your thoughts as facts.

Games for the PS2 are designed for one specific machine and so they are EXTREMELY well optimised. If someone made games designed to take advantage of every bit of my laptop, i would be able to run Doom3 at 80fps constant on ultra settings. Sadly, PC developers cant specialise like that otherwise 99% of customers would be unable to play it, thats why PCs cant run games as efficiently as consoles.

Still, high-end PCs are still more powerful than anything a console could manage, its just that most people here dont seem to have a high-end PC, hence the slowdowns. I can run PES4 better than a PS2 (PS2 gets jerky when taking goalkicks, mine doesnt)
