hey man.,....being from new york, id say the order would be . Baseball, Basketball American Football, then ice hockey and then maybe soccer if even........living in new york ......there are tons of soccer fans......but i cant say the same about other states... in new york ...there is a cool Manchester United bar called Nevada Smiths.......i may go there one day.(im a die hard man utd fan)....but its a bitch to get to..and for the record..even though im american ....i hate the mls......i think it is garbage compared to english and scottish premier leagues and the one thing that sucks in america is i dont get to watch as many matches as i would like to......seamus.
Hey, I'm a manUTD fan too...and there is a megastore just open a few months ago and there is the cafe too(I'm in Singapore)...so u live in New York and baseball is top...it is call MLB right???i also know that the yankees win the world series this year against the other NY team...which i couldn't remember...oh wait is is the Mets????

yeah the mets.....ima mets fan and they got beat by he yankees...the yankees are the manchester united of baseball.....4 championships in the past 5 years and they are expected to win again this year coming up........the mets almost beat the yankees.amnd every game was a nailbiter.......the yankeees were expected to blow out the mets but they didnt ....even though they won 4 games to 1 ....the mets couldve won everyone of those games.......take care man......up the bhoys and glory glory man united......

im from new york and i also think that MLS is trash my favorite teams are NEWY YORK KNICKS (basketball) NY METS (baseball) RANGERS(hockey) GIANTS (football) GALATASARAY(soccer) TURKISH SOCCER RULES! and i think that if i had to choose id choose METROSTARS from MLS but i hate MLS

Oh please....give it a chance. MLS is not even 10 years old!!! I'm here in Los Angeles. I'm not a big fan of MLS myself. But I think its a decent soccer league.
In other words, you can't compare a 7 year old kid to a 50 year old man in terms of strength and experience.
Sooner or later, I know MLS will produce soccer stars. Its still crawling, give it time to walk and run.

hey im not trying to look cool man im from TURKEY and i came here 6 years ago and when i watch the TURKISH league and then i come and watch the MLS when i compare i see that MLS players are extremely weak and cant pass shoot or have no skills.in other countries while teams are having economical crisis teams in MLS have a minimum budget of at least 10 million dollars. this is the deal other sports companys dont let MLS advertise because it may become the most popular sport and they might lose fans because its the no 1 sport in the world they are under a lot of pressure but i still think that they are trash bunch of weaklings is what i would say.

Did any of turkish teams have any success before Galatasaray bought Romanians, Brazilians, Croats... Anyway, football (soccer) is not an American sport, and will never be. You cannot introduce a new sport and league in 1993, and expect a miracle!

Here is a history lesson for all you, did you know the highest the US has placed in the World Cup, was fourth (1930)? Most of you didn't know that did you?
The US is a soccer nation, but not the extent of most European countries. Somwhere between 1930 and 1990 soccer disappeared in the US, but it is making a strong comeback in the 90's and hopefully for the next ten years.
I love soccer period. Any league, any country. I started watching Dutch soccer just this year and I like it. Ajax games are mostly what I watch. The MLS and Mexican soccer is what I can watch the most since it is closer to where I live.
The MLS doesn't suck, most of you are just following the anti US trend. And most of you are trying to compare it to the European style of attacking soccer, which is unfair. But that's your choice, I have no problem with that. Remember this, Not many knew who Necaxa (Concacaf representative in Jan)was in the first ever FIFA Club Championships until they surprised Man U by tying them and beating Real Madrid on penalties to place third. And why was this, how could powerful clubs from Europe struggle with smaller clubs? Becuase different styles makes good matches. Try to run against a team who likes to pass and slow down the game? Pretty hard to do isn't it?
That's the beauty of American soccer. The style is a combination of European attacking style, though not as fast, and a slower tempo of Latin American style soccer (Not all countries mind you), though not as slow.
The MLS and US's time will come. Just wait and see.
