I've got a Radeon 9800 pro and yes, they aren't cheap but worth every penny I tell ya. I bought it along with a new custom built PC so it was a tad cheaper and I needed it for my study in gfx, animation, 3d etc but it's class for games too.
You can forget the GeForce MX series, they are cheap and work great on older games but nowadays you're going to need something a bit more powerful than that. I heard the nex FX series are supposed to be very good though I think they are in the same price region as the Radeon 9800.
As for me, running PES3 on a 2.8GHz, 512MB, Radeon 9800 Pro shouldn't be any problem har har

seems like the "new" slowmo isnt due to the graphic card anymore. It only occurs at specfic places like 2 metres outside penality box. as if thats when cpu starts to think heavily, considered I got no probs with demo and I got low cpu thats prolly causing it, got like 1ghz.

Game runs very good, but I also have the slowmotion at the penalty area. I did a driver update (latest Forceware) from Nvidia, and it decreased to an almost acceptable speed, but it's still not gone. I had no slowmos in the demo, so I think it's just a patch we're waiting for.

Running the demo with my Ti4200, Athlon 2200+, 512 DDR RAM and it runs great at 1280x1024.
Ran fraps and get pretty much 58/59 fps.
Have noticed some slowdown sometimes in penalty box but seems to be gone once I set vid card mhz higher.
Am using latest nvidia drivers on Win 98.

mmm my demo run fine on 1024x768
but the full version seem to have little slow down problems in the box when its full. But its still good playable.
I wish konami for once fixed this problem!!!
And they also didnt change the menu interface whats a big dissapointment. You can still see the square, circle etc for playstation. Very cheap guys

This is ridiculous I have just played the full version and I get that bad slowdown at the edge of the penalty box and also there is a really bad stutter. The stutter is much worse in the full version and the slowdown never occured for me in the demo. My PC meets the recommended specs and I still get this crap. They should not release games if they are like this. Was really looking forward to this game but it looks like it's been screwed.
Shame and no way am I buying the original version now Konami can go **** themselves.
