Too easy?

Well, first I must say that I by no means is a hardcore footballgamer, but I have played some PES2 on PX2 before.

Nevertheless, I am surprised to see how little time it took before level 5 became too easy, even with a fairly poor team. This is sadly as the game is less fun, now that the AI does not provide enough competetion.

I hope they will make the AI far better (a Level 6) in PES4.

I havent played Master League yet, but I would presume that there is not much more difficulty here, or ?

Are you definately playing on 5? If you don't press X after selecting the difficulty level it reverts back to the default setting.

Master league *will* provide more of a challenge as you start with a low rated team, which you have to improve yourself by buying players etc.

I didn't realise people actually just played PES *without* playing master league! I've ever played anything else, bar the odd practice game

I play Master League about 85% of the time. Sometimes its nice to take a small nation and do a Euro or World Cup tourney and win it with them.

5 star is a bit easy when it comes to exhibition games. With the Master League it's about right, though.

Once you get the players, it's easy, mind.

Master League is level 6 (compare to regular 5 star)!!! It is much much harder than exhibition.

Man, I had this prob with PES2... Game was sick, but AI too easy.

I've played WE7 (a few times) and found it quite hard.

Was hoping PES3 would be more of a challenge...

Are there many people here who actually find it too easy?

In PES2 I could easily beat the CPU using default tactics...


I was hoping that in PES3/WE7 you would really have to work at your tactics/formation in order to beat the AI.

and btw, play master league and try to win the cup each season, you will see the challenge you get in semis and finals

I think the computer isn't good enough offensively. In my Master League save on WE7 on 5 stars, I conceded only 8 goals in a 30 game season in div. 1. I didn't even have a real super team and had a very offensive line-up:

The need to make the AI more challenging defensively and then the game will be almost perfect.

Even in master league with the default team it seems a bit too easy. Not rollover easy but you'd be fairly confident of winning.
And sure once you sign some new players it'll be a walk in the park.

I can't beleive you guys are talking about the same game! Unless you've all discovered some kind of fail safe way of scoring goals.

Why not make it difficult for yourselves, if you think it is too easy?

Like players stats arrow down for you, up for the COM team, level 5, you play as Saudi Arabia, and COM team has classic Argentina.

im still on lvl 4. But with great team, like AC milan, the chances of me losing is very small. The CPU sometimes win, but they never trash me with like 3-0 or 4-0.
Soon i will go to lvl 5.

But i think every game will get easy sooner or later, nothing you can do about that. We need an online option

True, with most other types of games but with Sports games this should not be the case, at least not in a 'perfect' sports game.
If your team of no-hopers takes ont he might of AC Milan and beat them 7 out of 10 times then that is unrealistic regardless of whether you are a PES pro or not.

If the AI is improved in PES4(or a patch) then Level 5 should be more difficult.

Maybe the stats need editing. Increase the difference in class between the players of say PES United and AC Milan.
Maybe the stats don't reflect the difference in quality between some players!?

Tell you what then. Don't bother defending and let the CPU do it!

Use manual controls and keep furthest back control to a midfielder. I guarantee the COM team will start scoring goals cos it's how I play

WE7 use to be fricken hard but now its a bit easy. I bet anythin if the game was much harder than it allready is u would have people complaining about that as well. I think in order to make the game a challenge just play with a bad team and DONT BUY any all star players just buy the players that belong to that team. Now that would be a real challenge.

i've won my very first PES3 game playing an exhibition match of AC Milan vs Juventus. I won 3-0 on 5 stars. I was like: damn this is way too easy...

now, playing ML (div2 week 7), i have a hard time staying competitive even on level 3.

the regular exhibition mode and ML don't compare. it's two different things.

play ML on level 4 (i actually think it's harder than 5), starting with the default team and play a couple of games in one session (the progressive AI will kick in making it even harder)... let's see how easy it is then. if it's still too easy: congratulations! you are a born PES pro.

Well i found level 5 very hard to start with, then i signed henry, raul and kewell then started dickin teams about 5 or 6-0

well, sell henry (he is worth 290 Million Euro as i read today), sell Kewell (don't know what he's worth) and things will get hard again...
