the topic speaks for itself...i'm bloody tired of seeing "hey here's my new arsenal away kit" or "check out my ajax kit"...christ, with so many teams out there why do people insist on always making the same ones over and over?! play in a different league with different teams! there are so many teams with generic kits and we are concerned with arsenal? or inter? what do you think, fellas?

Couldn't agree more mate. What you have to realise is that the
kits available are driven by the best supported teams.
However, having said that, anyone who has played FIFA 2003 for even a short while must surely relish the chance to learn about less fashionable teams and leagues in other countries.. yes ?
After all, you get sick of playing as your favourite team eventually.
Lets give some praise to the kitmakers who at least attempt a little bit of originality (Green Fever and Rabster spring to mind)
There now has to be more Real Madrid, Man Utd and Ajax kits than there exists supporters of said teams in the navigable world.

I think that's why the 2002 Soccered Jerseyland, and other sites that featured entire league updates were so popular. If I'm playing in a league, I want not only my team to have the correct kits, but also the team I'm playing against...it cheapens the experience without it.

I'm kit maker and I'm tired of making and seeing the same kits again and again over these boards.
The average Kit Maker make the Manchester United kit about 4 times.
It's annoying.
Although I don't like making unknown team kits, I don't like making the same kits again and again either. When I don't know which kit to make, I don't make any (just like now)......

I think that when a new kit is released (e.g. the new Ajac away kit nowadays), every kitmaker feels the challenge to give it a try, and to make a wonderfull piece of art. And as there are many many kitmakers, there are many versions of those kits.
Another point is that an Italian, German or Belgian kitmaker is not always interested in making kits for rather unknown French, Spanish or Italian teams. I like making kits, but I'm not really interested in making kits for Recreativo Huelva, Ajaccio, FC Zwolle, Perugia, West Brom or Bielefeld. Unless they have a nice design ofcourse

well i'm glad to see some of the top kitmakers replying to my post...shows interest and concern in the kitmaking community
and yeah, Joris, i agree with you. when a NEW kit comes out, sure, everyone should give it a go, especially you guys should definetely put your talent in photoshop to work. but some guys just do the same old kits over and over and over and over again. gets too boring!

Well, I haven't done any Ajax away kit (with the new design) yet!
Because, when I saw everyone making it I thought it'd have been too stupid. So I haven't made it yet Also, I'd like to see if ADIDAS is planning to give more teams the same kind of Kits Design, so I make a template for most of those kits and not just for Ajax Away
BTW what I was aiming at, when I said that it's annoying, is that sometimes you see ppl with 1 to 200 posts that creates a post asking for the fuçking ManU kit or they just go to their favourite kit maker kits thread and ask it there, without even do a search in the forum to see HOW MANY MAN U KITS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONE!!!!!! That's it TOO annoying,
BUT it's also annoying seeing great kit makers (like Abhjit) that have done near 3 ManU kits, just to add it a different pattern or a different position of the logos, in less than 2 months, but hey! I have nothing against you, guys! It's YOUR choice
I'm making 1 kit per week, guess why? - Because I just don't want to re-do the ManU kit again just to show a NEW kit by me. I prefer ppl to for get me because I don't make so much kits per day, and not to make the same kit again and again and just add 1 or 2 things...........

I don't mind if a replica kit is crap looking- I just make kits for the game. Like you guys are saying though I son't like to make kits that have already been done unless I have said I will do so. To be honest I make the kits for the game so even if it's a team I don't like or a kit I don't like if the kit hasn't been made and someone wants it then I'll give it a bash.

Yeah, I also try to do my best to not create kits that are already done.
Ive so far not done heaps,becos I dont get time, but Ive done the new Leeds kits (which hadnt been done), the Australian 3rd kit (also never done) and the NZ home and away kit.
Im halfway thru wolves right now.

Yeah, I think Geokas does make alot of great kits that are not big name clubs- VP29 too. I also think though some of the better known kitmakers like JJ, Joris and Hagi also do quite alot of kits that are not made by anyone else and are of fantastic quality.

Hehe, I know what u mean Fede, but i've got no choice, I don't have any requests at all in my thread, so how am I supposed to know which kits to make
So I just make my fav team's kit better and better
