Top 50 players for season 2005-06 thread

As another season draws to a close, i thought it would be a good time to post this thread.
I am watcher of alot of football throughout the top leagues in Europe. And as the season is nearly over i have drew up a list of the top 50 footballers at the top level who i feel have been the best this season (2005-06). What i mean by best is, most consistant, most influenctial, match winning displays throughout the course of the season (not 1 or 2 months).

Tell me what you think and your opinions of players that maybe should be in there that aren't. Honest genuine opinions and suggestions please! :)

Quaresma should be in there as well


Xavi has been injured most of the season so no idea why he's there.

Can't see why Keane is there either when he's been riding the bench at Spurs.

i dont think that pirlo, adriano, stankovic and buffon should be in the list considering your criteria. this in regards to the serie a players in your list.

50 players is not too many. Four, Four Two magazine here in the U.K do a top 100 players of the year every year.
50 is a good number because it samples alot of players in the top leagues, that perhaps haven't got the recognition that they deserve for doing a very good season.
If it were a top 3 or 5 then there would be no point in making a thread because the places would be taken by the usual 5-8 players e.g. Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho etc.
Just remembered that i missed of Miroslav KLOSE.

If I had to pick people from Real Madrid, I'd say Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas.

And to say Keane doesnt deserve to be on there is silly. He was almost as important as Mido in making spurs contenders all year
