Training schedule optional or compulsorily?

I feel that CM's adding too much extra tiny things to the game makes it loose it's value. EG: I loved it your assistent did the training, as I care about tactics/transfers etc, but training-schedules don't interest me at all.........
So my question is: Is in CM03/04 the making training schedules and the whole new traning-feature in general optional or do you HAVE to use it? It would be great if you could leave it to your assistent, so if you don't want you don't have to waste your time/energy on it.
In TCM you can choose which options you want to control and which ones not, so you can switch of what you want (be it training, contract extensions, stadium development etc), which is great. I hope this CM will have this feature as well.

Very true. Training is the base of it all.
Best managers are the ones who train the best.

Keeping the balance btw phisical and tactical, managing older players, planing pre-seasons...

Try this at least: let the assistant handle training but every now and then try to mingle with tiny bits of training. You'll be much more successful after a few tries and it's fun believe me..

Probably not a good thing, in Sick as a Parrot you can't just skip training, it's a necessity, and in Statto Soccer Manager it's not a requirement but it's stupid not to since you learn what form your team is in certain areas and improve your team simultaneously.
