Look what Fenerbahce.org posted today --->

No discipline
31.10.2004

The actions of some Beşiktaş players have not been taken well by Fenerbahçe fans and viewers of Saturday night`s derby game.

İbrahim Üzülmez`s blatent handball on the goal-line was followed by ugly scenes as a number of players from the home side targeted Serhat Akın and Pierre van Hooijdonk. John Carew was clearly seen stepping on van Hooijdonk`s foot while Serhat was shoved by Sergen Yalçın.

Carew then carried on his behaviour even after the penalty goal, pushing van Hooijdonk in the face. But the furious Dutchman was the one to be booked instead of the indisciplined Norweigan forward!

What`s even more disturbing is the fact that Carew sees this as such a normal incident. After the game, he spoke live to a TV station, saying he "tried to disrupt van Hooijdonk`s concentration and it nearly worked"(!).

----

And none of those players get booked! Reminds me of Ali Aydin from last year

Carew and Emre in trouble
02.11.2004

John Carew and Emre Aþýk of Beþiktaþ will undergo disciplinary procedures at the Professional Football Discipline Committee for their actions in the Beþiktaþ-Fenerbahçe match.
Turkish Football Federation Law Committee President Lawyer Kemal Kaya stated that Carew has been submitted following match examiner Doðan Babacan`s report and Emre after witnessing television footage and newspaper photos, which showed actions that un-sportsmanly.

Starting XI
According to a brazilian website (http://esportes.terra.com.br/interna/0,,OI414667-EI2248,00.html), Fener's Marcio Nobre had this to say to Sabah's newspaper:
"It's the first time in my life I see something like this happen to me. I was always taught football is a men's sport."
He said this after the match. Emre Asik had caressed Nobre's arse... the turkish federation said they'd take Asik to the PFDK.
Asik had this to say about the incident:
"I wanted to annoy him without the ref seeing me. I could've pinched his back but in the end I decided I'd do what I did"

:D

Earlier this year Trabzonspor spoiled it for them selfs in the first leg qualifying round against Bilbao. Trabzonspor had 3-0 early lead against them and conceeded 2 in the final minutes. And couldn't hold on in the second leg at Spain and got nocked out from the UEFA Cup.

It was a great start for Besiktas on their UEFA Cup tribute. As far as I know Besiktas will not go to Spain for the second leg. Its has this wierd rule for the UEFA Cup this year, I need to check it out again. I hope Besiktas goes far enough to earn us enough points.

As we can see, only Fenerbahce needs to improove themselfs in Europe.
