UCL 1/4 2nd Leg: FC Barcelona x SL Benfica [P+R]

Yes they outplayed and dominated but what did you expect? Its funny we are in very **** form and they are in great form, they are playing at home, they have the ref on their side, they have 11 players, and still dont score:fool: The most they did was long shots which were really not hard for Casillas. VB and Larsson only had the clear chances. I would laugh my ass of if they went out like that. I think what everyone is trying to tell you is that Benfica has a shot of making it even if its slim.
You're missing my point here... I was asked if I saw anything in that match that made me think they would be the better team on wednesday. Also, I'm not saying that Benfica don't have a chance, they've got a good chance. I'm saying that if they do advance, it won't be because they played BETTER than Barca. Maybe they'll be more efficient with their chances or gain a man advantage or maybe they'll get penalties. There are many ways that a team can win without outplaying their opponents.

Can we all just agree that we want to see an exciting match? :)

The catalan press and some spanish fans have treated Benfica players throughout this QFs like bums. I can tell you one thing: Benfica's best eleven isn't a bunch of bums, and tomorrow Barça will play Benfica's best 11 minus Nuno Gomes.
Hopefully Ronaldinho and friends will arrive in Camp Nou tomorrow with the same attitude, but I highly doubt it, as their coach is a smart man.

Barcalona wil win this for sure. I would be very surprised otherwise. It was just unlucky we didn't win the last game, and the goalie had teh game of his life.

I guess 3-0. Eto, deco and ronaldinho.

somehow i have the feeling that this will go wrong for us.. i don't know why. We always seem to **** up, i have the feeling that this game might be the one..

although i definately don't hope so, my guess is a 1-1 draw... :nape:

but i hope ronaldinho, deco, eto'o and the others will recover their magic for tonight's game..

AHAHAh Moretto even screwed up badly in the first half. He almost costed us the match all shaky he was, so please don't put it on the keeper but yes on your lack of finishing effectiveness. That said, Barcelona won't miss so much in this 2nd match and of course they certanly have higher probabilities to go through, no doubt about that. However, it wouldn't be the first time Benfica surprises many people.

I just hate it when people say Benfica are lucky, that it's all due to luck, and forget all the work rate, effort and concentration our players put in so far in all the games for the Champions League.

Some of these Barcelona fans are putting the "cart before the horse", thinking that tonight's match is already a foregone conclusion, and that they will play AC Milan in the semis. However, I think that Benfica will play the game of their lives, and somehow pull it out and advance to the semifinals. However, we may have to accomplish this by playing a brand of soccer that I absoulutely hate: the Italian catenaccio. Tonight, I don't care how we win or draw (as long as isn't 0:0), I just want the result that puts us through to the last four.

MAKE ME DREAM!

Lol, that newspaper has a dangerous message. I bet koeman is gonna show it to his players:jap: (it says "milan expects us")

Ninguém pára o benfica hoje.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

Watched their two games last week..against Real and Benfica..sat through almost the entire 180 mins and nearly fell asleep on numerous occasions on both days. I thought only Liverpool could produce that kind of boredom. I won't be watching but predict 1-0 for Barca.

he fvcked up a few times there, yes, be he made up for them immideately. You can't deny that he had a very good game, despite Barcas crapy finishing?

I wonder what they tried to achieve with this. It won't help us, that's for sure.

But I'm confident of a good attitude from our players. This isn't the time to think about Milan.

Yeah he also did a couple of nice saves, but honestly I prefer our other keeper (Quim) which is Ricardo's sub in the NT. It's just those mistakes are ridiculous, we would be losing right since the beggining of the match where he caught a ball passed by the defender, what goalkeeper does that at this level ? If he had doubts he should've kicked it safely, like any other keeper would do, but he tries for the most difficult solution sometimes.

I don't know what to expect from him tonight, I can only hope he's not nervous and does well.

Now that newspaper is clearly arrogance...

That newspaper is one of the most pro-barca newspaper on earth...if only the Barca players have the same mentality for this match.
