As much as I like Saha, it's never a good sign when in the 89th minute we get a penalty and my mood doesn't raise that much when seeing him step up to the spot. Ronaldo or Scholes should've taken it without a question. I truly didn't expect Saha to score that, I just had this gut feeling that he was missing.

It was basically the same gut feeling I had when I saw Nakamura step up to take the free kick.

Great. We lose because the blind ref couldn't spot a f*cking obvious dive! :| I also don't remember the last time when van der Sar saved a good free kick.
The way Saha took that penalty reminded me of Requelme's penalty miss against Arsenal last season in the CL semis.
Also, can somebody explain to me the point of bringing on Evra and O'Shea late in the game when we're losing?
Suddenly there are chances the we won't qualify after such a great start to the CL campaign. I am very disappointed. Celtic are a very good side but we should've won this one.

Help?

Whatever some people say, this was a perfect example of Fergie's tactical ****-up. Saha is not a lone striker and Rooney is not a left winger. Once he put it right, it was too little too late. Oh how about those subs, O'Shea and Evra to win the match!!!!!!

Nothing unlucky. F*** Fergie's tactics. We might be out again...

How can you blame tactics? Man Utd tactics were spot on. You ddominated the game....

A wonderful free kick won the game and an equally brilliant penalty save.

An Italian supporting Celtic defies logic.

Rooney played in a free role during the first half and just behind Saha in the second half.

4-3-3 negates Rooney a bit, especially when Celtic were putting 10 men behind the ball in the first half. I f*cking hate 4-3-3.

Which basically means that chances are high that we'll play against a top team in the next round. If we qualify that is.

Unlucky

Nothing wrong with the tactics at all. We totally dominated the game and lost to a superb free kick that was given as a result of a blatant dive. I can't blame the referee for that one, I don't think he realised it was a dive (although most other people did). The sooner FIFA wake up and start doing something about this obvious cheating the better imo. I mean, replays during the match would help, as would extra officials to give more angles during the game. But at the very least the powers that be should stop turning a blind eye to things that the referees don't spot and actually punishing players who cheat after the event.

I'm tired of seeing United get the short end of the straw when it comes to important decisions in Europe. We always seem to suffer rather than benefit at the hands of this sort of thing in the CL.

We shouldn't be too hard on Saha, he's done really well this season and links up play superbly, he just needs to be a bit more clinical in from of goal from time-to-time.

We should have beaten Copenhagen, and we have been robbed by Celtic. Hopefully we won't get done over by Benfica again, as we were last year, although last year we simply weren't good enough to progress.

SAF is not the one to blaim, the tactics were good, we dominated through out the match. Bringing on Evra was because he wanted to bring an attacking impulse on the left wing and so better crosses on that side, bringing O'shea in was to give Scholes room to go forward, O'shea is defensively stronger then Carrick. We clearly played for a draw, we were just preventing Celtic for playing on a high, we clearly had Chelsea on our mind. There's no keeper in the world who would have stopped that free-kick, it was a very good one. I had a bad feeling with that free-kick and penalty and it all went bad. We are very lucky to play Benfica at home, but they won't be easy as they also have a chance to go through, but I am still confident. It is a pity that we played for a draw in the last two games,
