UCL Group C: Udinese vs Panathinaikos [R]

I really hope Udinese make it out of this group, especially with all the players they lost last year.

Can't see them taking a point off of Barca though with los cules attack

I knew Udinese had the potential. Playing them is a pain in the ass. They're really strong at home. Barca should be in for a tough day. I don't expect Rijkaard's boys to play flowing footie come next week.

"I bet Udinese wont get past the 3rd QF CL round. A waste of a CL spot"

Few days late, but thought i had to respond..... Im impressed my words have such a lasting impression on all of you :brow:

It was a fair enough assesment considering their inexperience in Europe, lost their coach, and two of their best and more 'CL ready' players moved on. Plus with a full side they lost to Panionos in Uefa Cup QF last year and the form and effort of the 'non top 3' Italian clubs in Europe of recent years hasnt been too encouraging either.

Regardless, Im more than happy (and kinda surprised) they proved me wrong so far even if I always knew they had a very solid team. And one of their best players, Di Michele, has barely if at all used this season because of injury.
