UCL Group F | Real Madrid CF vs. Rosenborg BK [P]+[R]

Starting XI

TIME AND VENUE:

UCL| Matchday 3| Wednesday| 19 October 2005| 20:45 CET| Estadio Santiago Bernabéu

Team News:

Real Madrid

Michel Salgado limped out of the Madrid derby on Saturday and is missing after being diagnosed with a hamstring injury and will be replaced by Carlos Diogo in the defence. Ronaldo is also out having picked up a knock on his ankle and his place in the side will go to Robinho, while Sergio Ramos’ suspension, following his sending off against Olympiacos, could hand a chance to Jonathan Woodgate.

Rosenborg

Per-Mathias Hogmo will be without defenders Robbie Russell and Miika Koppinen and goalkeeper Espen Johnsen and midfielder Orjan Berg are doubtful.

probable lineups:

Real Madrid: Casillas; Diogo, Woodgate, Helguera, Roberto Carlos; Beckham, Pablo García, Zidane, Baptista; Raúl, Robinho

Rosenborg: Espen Johnsen; Basma, Kvarme, Riseth, Dorsin; Strand, Skjelbred, Solli, Braaten; Helstad, Storflor

my prediction:

2-0
Raúl, Robinho

this should be pretty much a walkover for Real. However, they should watch Braathen.
I guess somewhere around 4-0 to Real.

hey, datboy, why is there such a big gap in your stadium roof?

Starting XI
Diogo: "If I score, I will jump over the crowd" :funny:

So, just to check it out: 3-0 Diogo, Baptista, Robinho

BTW I dont see any gap in that picture

Last time we played in Madrid we were close to a little sensation, but two late goals by Real made it not happen. We are far from the same level as we were then, but still we are in very good shape, with 9 points and 13-1 in goal difference the last 3 matches in the league. If we are very lucky and get a point today, I actually believe we can end better than 4th in the group. But I think it might get ugly today, but we have beaten Real before, so we can do it again! :S:p

But I predict 3-1 to Real, don't care who scores. But I really hope Braaten has his switch* on today. :p

* Braaten varies a lot in his play. So; on=brilliant and off=invisible

10:23 AM, ah screw it!!! I ain't going to class...AST310. :hump:

Real Madrid 4 - 1 Rosenberg
(Robinho X2, Raul, J.Baptista ; Basma (pickde him since he has a cool last name)) :(

Unlike you Raikkonen, I don't believe Woody will make it a hatrick. I think...

I predict an almost classic Real win:

Raul will bring the team ahead 1-0..but after that the team will relax too much thinking they've already won it, Rosenborg will bounce back after a goal by some random Norwegian (or a random OG by Woody), causing the Real team to wake up and win the match 3-1 with two late goals by Zidane and Raul again.

That was exactly what happened last time these two teams met in Madrid. :(
