After playing this game for a while now, I have to say I am amazed (and quite pissed) that EA seemed to have copied the fishy AI goals feature from PES.
I am currently trying myself at the semi-final (Germany vs. Portugal, Pro level) and every goal I concede is of the following type: shot, Lehmann drops the ball, striker puts it in. It's ok if this happens once, but it happens with every other goal in the game when playing against the AI.
Being a long-time PES player I was always super-annoyed by these type of cheapo goals in the game which had obvious scripting written all over them and I am practically floored that this idiotic feature has made it into EAs game as well, which I otherwise like quite a lot.
The other thing that is eerily reminiscient of PES is the fact that clearing headers and deflections in general have the weird tendency to land right on the foot of the opposition while they perform outstanding clearances under the highest pressure which are ending pixel-perfectly on the foot/head of their teammates.
In general the reaction time of the human players is still too slow. When I am trying to do a slide tackle on feggin' Ronaldo it takes my player about half an hour to perform it, and in that time Christiano is already away shooting at Lehmann who then drops it for another cheap tip in.
Bottom line: it's ok to copy features from PES, but please leave those out which turned Konami's game into such a chore over the years and which made me pick up FIFA instead.
