It'll be extremely tough for Barça without Alves and Abidal. They deserve it, but I'm afraid Manchester will be astonishingly lucky as usual. They already started to be, with Barça not having Marquez, Abidal and Alves. Not having Fletcher isn't much of a big deal...

umm...no? They'll deserve it if they beat us. The game hasn't happened yet.

"Deserve" in the sense that they have clearly been the top team in Europe this year.. Of course in United win the final they'll deserve the win, which won't change my thought of the previous sentence..

I agree its the champions league final, and its gonna be tough for both teams... I think its probably gonna be a 2-1 for either team, we'll just have to wait and see who has the best day... I am glad its a final tho, and not a chance for man u to sit back, i predict a phenominal display of attack from both teams...

So it's guaranteed goals except if United pull a "chelsea"...

Seriously, watch Chelsea play in the EPL and you'll be surprised at the way we play. We play a lot more attacking football hence 59 goals scored for. Please if they do, they're gonna pull a "Stoke", talk about teams who defend not with 5 men but with the whole f*cking team. Go watch Chelsea - Stoke game at Stamford Bridge back in January

Jesus Christ I wasn't having a go at Chelsea mate, calm down... I was talking about Chelsea vs. Barça, and I wasn't even saying it was a bad thing... I don't agree with the kind of football Chelsea played at Camp Nou, but I do agree it worked, and also that in London they did attack more and better, but they still sat back - they did it wonderfully and concentrated to the fullest, but they did it nonetheless...

As if Man U are the only team to be lucky. Luck is part of the game for god's sake and Barca are lucky to be even in the final after that Chelsea game

Abidal isn't much of a big deal as well... He sucks. We won't be having Hargreaves as well for the final.

Anyway, should be an exciting game. May the best team win. Barcelona are favorites in this one but I think its gonna be a tight one.

I wasn't just specifically talking about your post. There have been a lot of posts about Chelsea only knowing how to sit back (which was usual under Mourinho) but now were a lot more attack-minded. The fact is that Barcelona didn't have a plan B. They only know how to play this one way (which I've seen is f*cking awesome) but a team must win with style and win with having to put 10 men at the back.

Aye, we're on the same boat man, I was referring to the Barça tie only..and as I said, specifically to the first leg (Y)

Barcelona are favourites? Since when?

I would say yes if you look at their statistics in La Liga and their consistency for the whole season.

Anyway everytime we've been in the CL final, we won it. Hope it happens again!

This game should be good...but Man Utd will prob pull a Chelsea, which is smart anything less Real Madrid-Barca can happen all over again lol

To be honest with you alot of that I must admit was frustration from us at barca, but as raul said "Teams don't necessarily pin themselves in against barca, barca pins them in"... Having a look at it our players do well at pinning teams in, although you were more conservative, i think you guys wanted to to come out, but our wave of attacks didn't allow you too...

The Legend
I know Barca are supposed to be a dream team and all, but United are equal to them in quality, and better in some areas.

Ferdinand and Vidic are big, physical defenders and Barca's attackers will find it hard to deal with them.

United just have so much quality all over the field, and on the bench as well. It's astonishing when you consider they can bring Scholes, Giggs and Berbatov on as subs.
