The conclusion of the first qualifying round sets up the match-ups for the second qualifying round which starts on the 25th/26th of July (first leg) and concludes on the 1st/2nd of August (second leg). Here are the match-ups:

Code:
NK Gorica v FC Steaua Bucuresti
PFC Levski Sofia v FC Sioni Bolnisi
FC Zürich v SV Salzburg
Djurgårdens IF v MFK Ružomberok
Debreceni VSC v FK Rabotnicki
Cork City FC v FK Crvena Zvezda
Fenerbahçe SK v B36 Tórshavn
FK Mladá Boleslav v Vålerenga IF
FC Sheriff v FC Spartak Moskva
FHK Liepajas Metalurgs v FC Dynamo Kyiv
FH Hafnarfjördur v Legia Warszawa
FC København v Myllykosken Pallo-47
FK Ekranas v NK Dinamo Zagreb
Heart of Midlothian FC v NK Široki Brijeg

Two former champions in that lot might I add and some other respected teams like Dynamo Kyiv, Fenerbahçe, Spartak Moskva, Legia, Dinamo Zagreb and Hearts among others. Should be an interesting round.

PS: I have yet to find the order that these matches will be played in (by order I mean what teams play first home and second away and vice verca). If anyone knows it please post it here. Thanks.

PSS: Before opening this thread I searched to see if there was already a CL thread for this season but I didn't find one. If there is one then feel free to delete this thread.

2nd qualifying round looks pretty interesting, a lot of half decent european teams their from Hearts to Fenerbahce. Liverpool should hopefully qualify from the 3rd round, and win it for the 6th time :)

People are saying that it's gonna be easy this year without Milan and Juventus but I don't think so. I think that other teams will take the opportunity of not having those teams in the way and they will play harder than ever before. For some reason I see a surprise winner this year.

BTW just thought I'd point out how garbage the UEFA system is :ewan:. Steaua, the Romanian champions have to play starting in the 2nd qualifying round even though they had like the 5th highest coefficient of any team in Europe least season. That coefficient that Steaua and Rapid got for Romanian clubs last year in the UEFA Cup will only come into play starting next year where the winner of this years Liga I (new name for Romanian top division) will automatically qualify for the groups while the second placed team will play starting in the 3rd qualifying round. I just think it's stupid that we have to wait a year for those changes to happen.

FC Zurich vs Austria Salzburg - it'll be hot match (6)

Legia: easy win against Harf-something, I hope :)

Djurgardens vs Ruzomberok - no idea who win.

Steaua, next season UEFA will probably implement a rule that all teams from outside the top 6 leagues will have to fellate members of the G14 in order to qualify.

You know that would not surprise me...

Milan were the only team that actually challenged Barca last season.. And which other team thumped the likes of Bayern 4-1? Milan is an European team more than an Italian.

Hopefully, the verdicts will bring us back in. And to make it so damn sweeter, I want Chelsea in the group stages :p

Yea, because Arsenal weren't beating them for most of the match with 10 men.

its gonna suck without Milan and Juve. believe me. :(

A year without seeing Milan get outplayed and score a goal in the last minute to go through will be fine by me.

Well Palermo and Chievo will be fun to watch and Roma IMO is a nice bet to make the 8 best teams. Inter is a great team but for some reasons they don't convince me. The 10 top teams i rank.

1-Chelsea
2-Barca
3-Bayern
4-Liverpool
5-Real Madrid
6-Arsenal
7-Inter
8-Roma
9-Man U
10-Hamburg
