Benfica has been much stronger at home in the past games, this game was crap for both, in the end i guess we deserve the win.

Anyway, those Dinamo guys look a bit arrogant to my taste...

they said something like "The real earthquake will be Wednesday, when we play them" (there was a small earthquake in Portugal) :|

they pretty much defended the whole game with some counter-attacks..

i predict a very hard game at their home... what can you tell me about the environment in their stadium? Their fans looked pretty good in Da Luz.

EDIT: And what the **** just happened with Ze Kalanga? He enters at 65 min and leave at 80 without any injury or whatever (H)

They are all a bunch of arrogant pricks who think they are the s*it because they managed to get out to such a big league in Romania. Their president, this asshole named Borcea, is the cockiest piece of s*it in the whole country and he makes stupid comments like the earthquake one all the time, he is a really small unimportant s*it hole though and nobody takes him seriously but he keeps trying...I would respect Dinamo more and what they have achieved this season if it wasn't that asshole.

Anyway their stadium and atmosphere...Let's see, it's pretty small and they rarely manage to pack it in. It's probably gonna be full for this game though. Their fans sing throughout the entire game and they have a leader who uses a megaphone and directs them (it's annoying as hell). They have yet to lose a game at home this season though in any competition. They play much better at home than away and listening to the interviews after the game all the players sounded surprisingly confident which is very unlike any Romanian football attitude I've ever seen coming off of a loss in the 89th minute. It'll certainly be interesting, I think Dinamo has a really good chance to go through because I don't expect them to sit back and counter like they did today.

As for Ze Kalanga, he just came back from an injury and I guess Rednic (their coach) thought he was ready to make an impact, he obviously was not which is why he was taken out. He was a very good player for them in the first half of the season before getting the injury, him and Bleah (or however you spell that) are very good for them on that right side.

Well... good result for us obviously. But Martins' penalty resulted from a pretty blatant dive by Duff which I really am pissed off about, the little Irish tw*t.

Pretty solid result for Sevilla in Romania though!

We played like total s*it, I'm beyond myself at how bad we were. If there won't be some improvement soon I'm joining the "Fire Olaroiu" club. Sure he got us to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup (where his tactics choked us btw...) and to the CL groups for the first time in 10 years (where his tactics killed us btw...) but it seems like he doesn't have the quality to know how to prepare a game against bigger teams (unlike Dinamo's Rednic who played a very smart tactical game at Benfica and just got unlucky in the end).

Disgusted at how poorly we played. Our game plan consisted of passing the ball around in our half and eventually hitting a hopeful long ball that reached Thereau/Badea/Nicolita maybe 1/10 tries :nape:. I still can't believe that's the best we could do after having 2 and a half months to prepare for this.

Kerzhakov seems to completely fit in at Sevilla. He became a starter now... After he left Zenit I thought he would be polishing the bench most of the time...

He started in the 1st leg to (which I saw), he definitely impressed me. He's strong on his legs and has a wicked shot and just a keen sense of goal about him. They did pay like $6 million for him, it would be a waste to just keep him on the bench.

Well, the serious business starts now. On a good day we should get past AZ without question... but they are exactly the kind of team (organised, professional, efficient) that will cause NUFC a lot of trouble. Oh well at least we avoided another Turk invasion thanks to them.

He's only been starting in the UEFA Cup. He started one league game against a bad team and had a goal plus an assist. It's only a matter of time before the coach prefers him to Luis Fabiano.
