you really don't get it do you? israel is not safe at the minute. you are at freaking war! how can you say it is safe. and by the way, the western news is biased towards Israel anyway so i dont know what you're talking about,

Not only heavily biased towards Israel but, sometimes I wonder what crap YOUR media feeds to you. Your attitude is one of a typical arrogant Israeli.

" Listen to what I say....I am right.....you are wrong....see things my way or else"

No wonder the Arabs despise people like you. With all your history, you should have learnt something by now. All you seem to portray is the typical intolerance of your governments. I feel so sorry for the sensible, war hating and tolerant people of Israel. Why do we never see any of those on here? why do we always get the nutters ?

By the way, I agree that football in a war zone is madness. Clubs have no reason to want to go to Israel. The games will get moved so...problem solved.

If you dont like it then have a word with your government and ask them to stop invading other countries and stop murdering women and kids. I know the Arab groups have committed atrocities too, I do not discount that, but 2 wrongs do not make a right. You are SUPPOSED to be a democratic and civilised country but you behave like savages too.

Just an after thought......Why did Chelsea get so slammed by many people on here when some of their players refused to travel to Israel, but now the decision to NOT go has much more support?.....strange one that......

All your words will still mean nothing to me until on of you lives here for a while and undrstands what it's really like. Even at this hard time we have lots of British and French tourists, your'e all welcome to visit... ;)
And about that last thing you mentioned Pede54, about atrocities by arabs.. know this, There are even People in Iran from what we read here, that ask themselves daily why did Hezbollah had to kidnap our soldiers out of the blue and start a North Israel issue, not to talk about an entire middle east issue all over again after several years of relative silence in the northern area.
Problem solved? why do our fans have to pay large sums of money and travel as far as holland from what i've heard to see a HOME match? (many of them can't really afford to).
It's so easy for you to sit there wherever you are and critisize while your teams are all o.k and nothing is at question. I'd like to see you walk a mile in my shoes...

Man, the stupid argument just goes round and around. "They did this.....so we do that"

This whole thing goes deeper than 2 soldiers being taken prisoner. What about your navy shelling families while they relaxed on a beach just a week or so earlier? Both sides deserve each other, so go ahead and wipe each other out. The World would be a better place without both of you.

And as for feeling sorry for yourselves because you cant watch a football match? Well thats so tough. I heard about 37 little kids this week who will NEVER be able to see anything ever again.

Why Israel is even allowed to be in UEFA is beyond me.
heh, in the 1958 World Cup qualifying, all the teams supposed to play against Israel refused to do so (they were in an african/asian group), and they'd be qualified without even playing... but then FIFA decided that no team should qualify without playing a single match, and set up a playoff against Wales, which was won by the Welsh.

Tel-Aviv may be safe now, but there's no telling what Hezbollah is going to do next... Imagine the scenario, you know there'll be loads of people together, all of them war "enemies". You'd bomb them if you have the chance. Will they have that chance? Improbable, yes. Impossible? no. Would you risk it? I wouldn't.

Imagine the consequences of such a thing. Better safe than sorry, eh?
But u can't know when terrorists will surprise us with another terror act in London, Madrid or any other place so there's no telling about any place.
And don't tell me it can't happen because England and spain aren't at war...were they at war when a part of the train in Madrid exploded? Was England at war when the undergrounds were bobmbed?

I actually live in Herzliya which is a city near Tel-Aviv, the life in center is normal and we live freely without disturbence...

stop fighting.
everyone think he's right and the other is wrong.. we wouldn't get nowhere even if it will reach 52 pages..

bottom line.. we all wish this "war" will end and everyone will be safe again.. **** football **** sport.. i had 6 syrines in the last our (since i dont have a bomb-shelter at my house , im sitting in the bathroom which is the most safest room in my house :) :) :) )
trust me , i dont think about football in this times.. that's the last thing that is on my mind right now

so grow up , , , and the right decision will be made.

I never wrote anything about what can't happen. I'm sure you read the bit you quoted, so you obviously noticed the "Improbable, yes. Impossible? no." part. The thing is, can we be sure, and I mean 100% sure, that Hezbollah won't attack with longer-range missiles? Last time I checked, Syria were their close friends, and Syria does have the capacity to hit Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

9/11, Madrid and London were isolated attacks, and no one even thought about cancelling sporting events on those cities. The simple fact that we are discussing whether or not teams should play in Israel show you the situation is different. You can't really compare terrorist attacks with a full-blown war, even if it hasn't affected some places yet. For the matter, I believe Israel has hosted matches recently, even though they were targeted by terrorists.

:hump: I feel so great, I can bring out the worst of a brain dead Bag-Of-Money prick fan. "wipe us out"? bah son go point your finger in class your arguements are meaningless, you're not a factor. so you can keep typing these "strong" and "intelligent" arguements of yours and keep hoping i'll raise my eyebrow. Oh and please stop patronising about your wonderful spelling, people, that is so 2nd grade (or maybe it helps you to pleasure yourselves... ).pfffft :boohoo: .
In other news: Our FA is deciding to appeal to CAS, and Uefa are gonna have an emergency meeting.

It's a very sensible decision. The same would happen if there were a war going on in Greece, Bulgaria, etc. You don't send a football team into a war zone.

EDIT: sorry, didn't read to the end so i didn't see that the thread has gone to ****. Disregard my sensible comment, and replace with "everyone's a wanker".

Carry on.
