God you idiots shut the hell up your so stupid no one give a flying hell about the LA Galaxy ok???You have your damn team in MLS just play with them in any other tourny in the game. There are teams from africa, latin america, north america, europe and i think oceania in the Ultima cup that is the whole world.BTW world cup has sh*t to do with clubs.USA did great in the world cup but face it................your clubs suck you dont even have real stads not to be harsh but dont go saying Shlomys work is crap just cause your crappy club isnt in the game.Chelsea isnt in the game so why the hell would galaxy be in the game?????Why dont you guys be like Universel and just chill out.
Whoa, slow down there...!
Our clubs suck? The whole point of this is, how do you know? Everything is talk, and talk ain't ****, until it is settled on the pitch, you agree?
We don't have real stadia? Whoa, easy there...coming from an Ajax fan (last time I was there, you had crazy stuff like the Amsterdam Admirals of American football and concerts playing there - and the consequent layout not of a "pure" football stadium, but one of - gasp! - an American multi-purpose complex, 17 grass field changes in the first 4 years of the Arena, and one was forced to buy these stupid Arena tokens to get anything to eat or drink there; in addition, ALL of the Ajax fans I know over there pretty much HATE the Arena as is gave up sightlines and seating positions to corporate hospitality suites where people leave before the match is over anyway...), that's dicey talk.
To just contrast, the Galaxy's new field at the Home Depot Training Centre will have NOTHING but football played on it. Period. So in terms of a "pure" football environment, which stadia is closest to the mark?
Remember, just because we live in the States doesn't mean we don't love, live, or maybe even work in the Jogo Bonito. The best of us know how life is in your neck of the woods too, and are not just reflective of the stereotypical myopic self-centered American image projected elsewhere in the world...in fact, one has to work so damn hard in America to be a part of the global football community in terms of access to information, matches, community interaction, etc., that often you will find that the Americans you might come across who do know something about football know an awful lot; they've had to work to find out, so they're committed.
No slight against you or Ajax, but it seems that you were submitting that the U.S. has all the stadium problems when I know that there are these issues all over the globe, and I was particularly aware of them on Arena Boulevard in Amsterdam...
I look forward to the patch; its been an invigorating discussion!
