There are lots of things tought about CSKA being the comunism team and sort. We can make a descusion for weeks and never find out who is right and who's wrong.
CSKA were and still are, as the team name is, the team of The Army, as Levski were team of the Police.
Things were equal on this side, but the comunists were helping CSKA in some ways, however I think that european success can say which team was and is better. We've beaten big european club, Champions League howders - things Levski can only dream for:

Greatest maches:
-1956 (1st ever European match for CSKA) - ECC:
CSKA Sofia - Dinamo Bucharest 8:1 21 October

-1960 ECC 1/16 Finals:
Juventus - CSKA Sofia 2:0 21st September
CSKA Sofia - Juventus 4:1 (5:3 on agg.) 12th October

-1967 ECC 1/2 Finals - played in 3 matches:
Inter - CSKA Sofia 1:1 19th April (Milano, Italy)
CSKA Sofia - Inter 1:1 26th April (Sofia, Bulgaria) (2:2 on agg.)
Inter-CSKA Sofia 1:0 3rd May (BOLOGNA, ITALY - had to be in neutral country, but played in Italy)

-1973 ECC 1/8 Finals:
CSKA Sofia - Ajax Amsterdam 2:0 (2:1 on agg.) 7th November

-1980 ECC 1/16 Finals:
CSKA Sofia - Nottingham Forest 1:0 17th September
Nottingham Forest - CSKA Sofia 0:1 (0:2 on agg.) 1st October - CSKA defeat the last year Winners of the ECC

-1981/1982 ECC:
1/4 Finals:
Liverpool - CSKA Sofia 1:0 3rd March
CSKA Sofia - Liverpool 2:0 ET (2:1 on agg.) 17th March - again CSKA defeat the ECC Winners
1/2 Finals:
CSKA Sofia Bayern Munchen - 4:3 7th April
Bayern Munchen - CSKA Sofia - 4:0 21st April (7:4 on agg.)

-1982/1983 ECC 1/16 Finals:
CSKA Sofia - AS Monaco 2:0 (2:1 on agg.)

-1984 ECC 1/32 Finals:
CSKA Sofia - AS Monaco 2:1 (4:3 on agg.)

-1989 Cup Winners Cup 1/2 Finals:
Barcelona - CSKA Sofia 4:2 (Stoichkov scores 2) 4th April
CSKA Sofia - Barcelona 1:2 (Stoichkov scores 1) (3:6 on agg.) 19th April.
Stoichkov's star rises here. He scores 3 goals against the club he'll be playing for in 3 years.

-1994 Uefa Cup 1/32 Finals:
CSKA Sofia - Juventus 3:2 13th September
Later CSKA Sofia lose in Torino 5:1 and leave the fight with 7:4 on agg.

-2001 Uefa Cup:
CSKA Sofia - Shakhtar Donetsk 3:0 20th September
Shakhtar Donetsk - CSKA Sofia 2:1 (2:4 on agg.) 27th September
AC MIlan - CSKA Sofia 2:0 18th October
CSKA Sofia - AC Milan 0:1 (0:3 on agg.) 1st November

And for the Supporters, as well as for the club, ask people from other european countries, people who are interested in this, they'll tell u about the CSKA Supporters, but nothing about the Levski ones, as they aren't famous.

We've also beaten Pele's Santos in a aniversary match of Santos, during the comunism;)

Not bad for a farm town of like 150 000 ppl eh?Our stadium is mainly comprised of bleachers with a fence seperating the crowd from the field.:crazyboy: What do you want, we're Serie C2 Girone C, the last official organized league in Italy.

Note* Population may even be smaller.

i have found that on a chelsea forum after psg-chelsea

forum csr extension chelsea fans
"Nearing kick-off athe stories began and the CS gas had been evident in a few skirmishes outside but apart from that it was all quiet on the PSG front. Except inside.....................Bloody 'ell, at this point I have to take my hat off to the PSG supporters led by that bloody drummer.

Wow wow wow !! The atmosphere yesterday was just amazing!! To those who have been to many other European games maybe it wasn’t as good as the likes of Milan and Besiktas (even if the game wasn't in their stadium), but as someone who’s only ever been to games in England it was just incredible! And having to be escorted to the stadium by armoured police was interesting, I guess there really were concerns about the PSG fans, though the ones we saw were quite nice and either singing before the game or looking fed up afterwards (understandably). Once inside the stadium the first thing everyone noticed was the constant noise, it was so loud! We were right next to where the hardcore fans sit (I guess their equivalent of the MH except slightly more animated!) and I really was in awe of the atmosphere coming from there, the drums going all the time, the flares being lit, the constant singing and chanting even when they were 3-0 down.. oh and of course many boos and whistles for Drogba... There really was so much noise I could barely hear the ppl around me!

They sang, danced and beat their drum almost incessantly for almost the full 92 minutes. We thought 1-0 might shut them up, then once we get another and even at 3-0 although quiet for a few minutes they went the distance. Total respect to them that at 3-0 down at home with a minute to go, they're still in the stadium behind their team and giving the Drog some stick even after he came off. The funniest moments were seeing the Irish Clan flags and scarfs (what's that all about then?) and then half way through the second half they give a full rendition of "Flower of Scotland" which to be frank leaves us bth dumb founded and in stitches.

Glad you enjoyed the pub! I had a great day as well, I had been so excited and finally the day came and everything was as I had hoped.

Like you say the atmosphere in the stadium was just amazing, I really couldn't beleive how loud and animated their fans were even when they were 3-0 down. I saw the Irish clan flags too, and a guy with a banner saying "The Queen is a bitch" which made us chuckle. They were quite a crazy bunch! "

Of course the PSG fans to our - left - the Ultras - had clearly not been given the same orders as flags and especially flares were clearly the order of the day. And what fans they were. I have to say that I cant recall, (in recent non-Guinness affected memory), a group of fans who got behind their team quite as well. It certainly wont take many of them to out sing us in the return at Stamford Bridge, maybe we should start to practise finding our voices now, just in case.
