Unlimited numbers of stadiums in FIFA07?

I don't know if it's already said but i think we can add a big amount of stadiums in fifa 07,without affecting the size of the fifa.fat file...
Here is how..

I set CM07 to import files in a specific zdata,in my case zdata_70.big...(this is not obligatory, but this way it's easier to find the imported files afterwards...)

I imported a stadium .cmp using CM07 and i chose "create" and not replace(so i have a new db entry for the new stadium)and i saved the session.

With the File Master i extracted the newly created files in the zdata_70.big,in my main fifa directory, and then deleted them from the zdata_70.big.
regenerate with the tool of your choice...

And presto you can play in your new stadium...because...
a)The db info is imported
b)the files will be "picked up"by the game because they are in the main directory(C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 07)
c)the fifa.fat file stays intact because no files are added in the zdatas...

I tried it already with 10 stadiums and i can't see no reason (except db limitations)why i can't add a lot more

yes, you can make this with adboards, banners, logos and kits too in order to reduce the size of the fifa.fat file

but the more stuff in the main folder the more sloppy and slow your game will get...

is that so, i think i might have that problem

I tested it extensively in Fifa06 which had an even bigger limitation of the fifa.fat file and I must say that heavy memory graphics like stadiums, kits, faces are better kept inside the zdatas. Flags and logo's are ok but you will still see a drop in performance because the game needs to load the external graphics (outside the zdata in the root folder) on top of the ones in the zdatas, so the more to load, the slower it will get and eventualy it will crash. In Fifa06 this happened if I put more than 2000 files in the root with my system, results will vary from system specs and user to user, I didn't test the crash limit on Fifa07.

Currently i got 2400 files in my root folder(crazy...)
Is that sloppiness that you've seen benchmarked?I mean is there a considerable FPS drop? I don't mean to contradict what you're saying but i am trying to understand the issues here...For example why you said that the graphics in the root folder are loaded on top of these in the zdatas(since the zdatas don't contain any of the files used for the stadium in the example on my first post...)
Is it a matter of RAM?VGA card?crappy software coding by EA?Does CEP got to do something with that?(he he)

I don't think it has to do with the ammount of texture memory the game can load at the same time as once it exceeds the limit you get the classic fifa06.exe error in a popup and the game will crash back to desktop (as when trying to play with too many double textured stuff activated).

In my Fifa06 crash test with too many files in the root, the ingame playfield would just not load at all with no error message popping up, the loading bar would just go up to a certain ammount and then freeze or the screen would go black, requiring a hard reboot (no alt ctrl del responding) sometimes paired with the sound card making noise (it would play the last note endlessly, especialy irritating at high volume lol)
