I personaly hate this result...

I didn't want to have to take sides in Australia vs Uruguay, I lived 5 years there and hold it as a second home... :(

May the best team win.

Luizao is a very good striker, he plays for Corinthians and can easily score goals (like his 15 in 2000 copa Libertadores)

Well... I hate to say this, but Argentina forgave us several chances. Carini did several good saves, but there were many chances Argentina forgave Uruguay in.

It's a truly sad day for Uruguayan football. It's very obious that this isn't a team that can SERIOUSLY compeat in a world wide and major event like the World Cup.

Good players, like Sebastian Abreu (Nacional) and Diego Forlan (Independiente) were not called, and I keep repeating myself that money was behind the selection of the poor players that played today (Tais, Diego Alonso and Magallanes had no reason to be on that pitch!).

I'm truly dissapointed with Uruguay's apearence in this WC qualifiers, We gave lost points that were un-losable (We drew with Peru at home, we lost to Venezuela, we Drew with Colombia at home... I could go on all day.).

I can't say I see Uruguay beating Australia. The way I see it, Australia will win 2-0 at home, and we'll draw 1-1 at home. Anyway, that's the way I see it, hopefully I'm wrong, becaues I would like to see Uruguay play in a world cup BEFORE I die (which will probably be soon, All their matches are no-no for people with heart problems, and I'm soon going to develop some no doubt.)

Dario Silva, who was "boxed" by Burgos, won't be able to go to Australia. My personal comment is... THANK GOD! Maybe NOW Pua will call some good players!

Well for anyone that's reading my after match comentaries, I'd just like to inform that the Uruguayan squad will be leaving tomorrow at around 4am (Stated on the radio) and will be arriving to Australia after a 24 hour + flight.

I also heard a comment about wanting to change the date to the 19th instead of 18th, thou I find this unlikely and unfounded.

I'd like to Congratulate the latest Qualifier, Brazil, that with it's 3-0 win over Venezuela (And due to Paraguay's 0-4 defeat), took out Paraguay from the third place.
