Well... I hate to say this, but Argentina forgave us several chances. Carini did several good saves, but there were many chances Argentina forgave Uruguay in.
It's a truly sad day for Uruguayan football. It's very obious that this isn't a team that can SERIOUSLY compeat in a world wide and major event like the World Cup.
Good players, like Sebastian Abreu (Nacional) and Diego Forlan (Independiente) were not called, and I keep repeating myself that money was behind the selection of the poor players that played today (Tais, Diego Alonso and Magallanes had no reason to be on that pitch!).
I'm truly dissapointed with Uruguay's apearence in this WC qualifiers, We gave lost points that were un-losable (We drew with Peru at home, we lost to Venezuela, we Drew with Colombia at home... I could go on all day.).
I can't say I see Uruguay beating Australia. The way I see it, Australia will win 2-0 at home, and we'll draw 1-1 at home. Anyway, that's the way I see it, hopefully I'm wrong, becaues I would like to see Uruguay play in a world cup BEFORE I die (which will probably be soon, All their matches are no-no for people with heart problems, and I'm soon going to develop some no doubt.)
Dario Silva, who was "boxed" by Burgos, won't be able to go to Australia. My personal comment is... THANK GOD! Maybe NOW Pua will call some good players!
