Sadly, due to economic considerations, this game will be like an away game for the U.S.A. The U.S. soccer federation often schedules games not where the Americans will have the best fan support but where the most money will be made. In this case the game is set in a stadium very close to Mexico, and I expect to see plenty of red and white in the stands, but a lot more green than blue to go with those colors.

Even though this is the case, I predict that the U.S. will continue to show how much we have risen as a soccer power and that we are, in fact, the premier side in CONCACAF. To venture a numerical guess, I would say 3-1 to the Yanks.

So... it's MLS vs. Mexican league by the look of the rosters. Yeah, it will pretty much be an away game for the US, as is the case with most of our home games. I think it's good experience for the young players to play in front of a crowd that supports the other team.

Anyway, my prediction:

2-1

Donovan, McBride

It has always been an away game..soccer aint an attraction for Americans: get over it.

Soccer can and will be an attraction in the U.S.
And who says no stars...about half the American side was on the 2002 World Cup roster and that was certainly the best side America has and I believe Mexico has several of it's best called up as well.

I think Donovan, McBride and Beasely will score for the U.S. and Borgetti for Mexico.

Go U.S.A.!!! :bob: :lui: :bob: :lui:

Mexican side isnt good at all in my opinion without Torrado,Marquez,Blanco and other players that play in Mexican league. I disagree a lot with Lavolpe, but oh well , GO MEXICO

btw why you say that borgetti is going to score, he sucks

Mauricio

El Gran DT
Thats the the big problem in mexican side we dont have a great stricker but youll see than in a year or two Juan Carlos Cacho of Cruz Azul will be the one we are looking for
