Yes i actually agree with u about how the NHL textures dont look like a jersey and have been saying this for a while now..
I thought these textures were really good(the new ones i was using) but they dont look awesome in the game.
Here is a piture of fowler with my leeeds one on. I think the EA ones do shape like a real Jersey, and people should use them rather then just going for textures that look great in bitmaps of the hjfr file.
Too many people dont worry what stuff looks like in game, and only worry about impressing people with there hjfr. I may go back to using default EA..

hey one last thing, i forgot to say, i have some EA default textures, that look a bit better(more defined or something??) then yours. Do u want them?

i'm glad u agree.

anyway, now that i looked carefully, i see that if u place a sheet of cloth in a position where the top is smoothed out and the bottom is sort of wrinkley, take a picture of it, bring it into PSP, grayscale it, adjust the brightness, use the soften tool to smoothen out the area where it would be the side of the jersey in the game, u can make a very good looking template. that's what i think EA did. although, they did spend more time on it than some people here. u can just make a couple of pictures with the cloth in different positions and spend some time on adjusting it to make it look right in PSP. try it, it sounds like a good idea. just make sure that the the top (near the collar) is smooth, the center is sort of bulging out but not to much, and the bottom is wrinkly because that's where it tucks into the shorts.

u still haven't said anything about my kits besides the textures. what do u think about the kits in general?

the kits are nice, and no offence to V-9 (and im sure he wont take any) but I really think whilst hes a great kit maker, i dont think he is really better then alot of other good kit makers. His kits are great but i dont like the NHL textures for one, and ive seen many other kits which are of equal quality...
I also think V-9 worries a little to much about what the kit hjfr looks like outside of the game, just as an image!(no offence man!)
Your kits are good, but why put the brazil logo straight onto the kit!! It annoys me when people odnt use the crst file!!!!
Also do brazil have that dark outline around the green, actually u have done the same on the red of the USA one..is it really there?
Also the USA collar is a bit messy, but other then that superb kits!

first, usa does have the outlining but brazil doesn't. to make it stand out more in the game, i used the outlining.
second, i don't see what's messed up with the collar, it looks great in the game.
third, i didn't use the crst file on brazil because then, on the sock, it would cover up the FIFA and WC logos and i wouldn't have anywhere else to put them. on usa, i used the crst file and i had to not include FIFA and WC logos on the sock. all the sock has is the nike and US logo. I try to vary it so some of them would have it and some of them wouldn't.

with belgium i'm making right now, it's not licensed so i can't use the crst file anyway which is a plus.

(for the picture)
the brazil and belgium socks are what it's like not using the crst file. the sweden sock is what it's like if i do use the crst file.

the USA collar is fine, but it is just a bit sort of bumpy isosme places....
i think jerseys are more important than socks, so i always use the crst file unless it is unlicensed.
lastly i dont think u should have the outline on the brazil kit, if it doesnt stand out in FIFA it probably doesnt in real life. I think u should make kits jsut how they are in real life and not add stuff to try and make them look better

that's just it.
i saw brazil play a couple of days ago with a team(forgot which one) and the green stood out but i didn't see any bordering. from far away, trust me, it was perfect, but in the game from far away, it looks all yellow with a tiny bit of yellow because the yellow and green are right next to each other on the color pallete. so, i put an outline. now it looks very good from far away and u can barely see the gray. u can just see that it's slightly darker which makes a big difference. u see the players from far away most of the time anyway.

1.)

i have spent about 2-3 whole days making templates of different types of jerseys. Nike WC, Adidas WC, etc. i did this so i wouldn't have to go into the game all the time and keep looking at them to see if it's good. the templates are perfect so if i follow them, they'll be perfect also.

2.) tell me what team(s) u want me to get a pic of and i'll get it just for u. look in the "what next" thread created by skip to see what teams i've made for the WC

Now the secret is to keep the images seperate till the colour is right then combine them once you have the right colour.
get the dropper tool, and put it over the colour of your kit(the colour that you want the sponser to be) Then look at the red blue and green values of that colour(they r displayed on the far left of the screen). Now go to your logo and use Hue map to get approximate colour, and red/blue/green to get the exact colour(if u get within 1 or 2 numbers with this tool, just get the flood fill and make its tolerance one, and correct the difference it wont be noticable). TO get the exact colour with the RGB tool, simple add the percentage of each colour slowly until you get its value right, then work on the next colour. After some practice this doesnt take long. Hey the Carlsberg logo on my liverpool kit was Green when i got It!!
Meanwhile I have redone your Man Utd kit with a few modifications of what i think you should do to it...have a look, and tell me what you think..
Plz note if i made a man utd kit, i would actually not have a perfectly round white line for the collar, the bottom left of the circle needs to be kinked to look round in the game! I would also rotate the nike logo a bit, otherwise it will look funny and be bent around the collar, to make it 3d
Great kit but i don't like the texture very much

yeay they are the type of textures that looks good out of the game but not in it.
I still think default EA textures(or maybe Fedes) look the most realistic in game..
Cheers
