Visual Basic 6.0 is a microsoft product and is not freeware.You may also got Visual studio 6.0 which includes visual basic.

offtopic-ing this: whats the difference between VB6 and VB.net?

I mean, I know Visual Basic to a more than basic level (though not advanced yet) but Ive never seen VB.net. what is it?

if by vb.net ur talking about the new one,its awful, im taking classes about vb6 and when i tried using the same code on vb7 (part of the new visual studio.net) the code was a lot different, im sticking to vb6

yeah well, its not called VB7, its VB.net but yeah, its the one you're talking about.

but great (in a bad way) to know that they use different codes.
what kind of new stuff can you do with VB.net?

I do Visual Basic for ICT at my school and it just bores you to death, All the coding you have to type out is anoyying aswell, I'd rather sit and watch paint dry for 30 minutes

VB.NET is based on new microsft .NET platform. It'sa bit more powerful but a bit harder.

I'm currently doing Visual Basic in school and liking it.

I hated Visual C++ though.

If u see vS.NET has VISUAL c# if u like c++ but u find it hard to make interface u gonna love this.
