Vollies and Headers on goal

Can anyone tell me how exactly to volly and head shots on goal? I get crosses in on free kicks and corners all of the time, but the ball always hits them in the chest and it ends up going to a defender or the keeper. I'm playing on PS2. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I hope someone can explain this one as well. In the "tip's and trick's" thread somebody said a 'volley shot' on goal is as simple as WALK+SHOOT. This does work sometimes, but it seem's too be random because sometims 'walk+shot' simply yields a header shot. ????

I seem to be able to easily to execute the Volley or Header! i just cross the ball in and do either of the two!

just press D (shot button), i not sure 100% can volly, its depends on where the ball position. i think computer will auto react after you press D. either is head or volly
