Right after Xabi missed the penalty the keeper fouled Cesc. Should've been another penalty!

Should have been a goal by Borussia Dortmund's Nelson Valdez in the first half! It was NOT off-side. It was NOT a foul. It was NOT a hand-ball.

A Spanish player encroached into the box before Cardozo took his shot but that penalty wasn't re-taken.
Where else would you get this kind of melodrama if not for the World Cup.

The offside decision was correct. Cardozo clearly attempted the header; even if he didn't hit the ball it was enough to rule out the goal.

Cardozo never touch the ball, so that's stupid argument.

Paraguay has had more clear chances than spain, I guess that's speculating

If you try to touch the ball is offside, and Cardozo tried.

Spain team play better against big rivals, so Germany-Spain is at 50%-50%

Larissa :(:(:(

Spanish players celebrate like they just pulled off an upset, but it was a nice touch to see them consoling Cardozo, showed some real class.

Paraguay caused Spain a couple of problems with their speedy counters, the Germans will be rubbing their hands.

You can trust me when I say Spain performs much better against big rivals.

Is Spain's fault that the game was boring? our defensive line is in the middle of the pitch in every match

Pedro must be starter, this guy is awesome, always in the right place. Alonso and Torres out, Pedro and Francesc in.

The blame for boredom is 50/50. Chile-Spain certainly wasn't boring; Germany-Paraguay likely wouldn't either. It's not really Spain's fault; it's just that their "carousel passing" sometimes just doesn't cut it, not unlike Barcelona in that respect. In any case, Paraguay is too much of a mediocre side to even hope to reach the semis, so I am glad for the result.

Passing football made spain European champions and World cup semifinalist for first time ever, would be stupid to change it now!

Well, I think I was wrong

the Paraguayan goal is an offside. right decision by referee

Cardozo was offside & actively involved in the play before the ball reaches his mate who scored the goal.

Good right decision by the referees

I want to see Pedro instead of Torres. If he was given a chance I think he could have given Muller a run for breakout player of the World Cup.

It's just beyond obvious now. Pedro's speed alone is a potential game changer, but his positional awareness is spectacular. He and Thomas Muller are the best two U-21s in the World, and it's kind of crazy because while they're both good, neither is great with the ball; they just know exactly where to be at all times. It's a mystery why Pedro isn't starting over Torres.
