Unbelievable narration of the 3 goals. Ecuador had been announced before the game as being "already qualified". I LOVED seeing how a brazilian commentator mentioned:
1- Never underestimate Uruguay, a 4 time world champion, regardless of how good they THINK they may be.
2- Someone give Ecuador a history book of 1950 (World cup final), 1987 (Copa america Semi final), and many other times. famous instances where people "celebrated victories" before the games vs. Uruguay.

Unbelievable. Now On wednesday, Uruguay vs. Argentina ....1 of the 3 south american super derbies, the oldest derby in the world....the first international match ever played (according to Uruguay/ARgentina , constantly arguing vs. Scotland/England for the last 80 years about this. lol)......the creators of quick touch football....the first world cup final........dominators of the first 74 years of s. american and world football.........

You cannot write better stuff than this. This game will be legendary.

and on top of that it's Maradona. :p

with Uruguay win at that match, Ecuador wins at Chile home then bye bye to Argentina.... (If Argentina gets point, they'll get at least 5th place but that's not easy for my mind)

Ecuador won't beat Chile away from home. Argentina and Uruguay can settle with a draw.

I'm actully just following European qualifiers, Bosnia and Herzegovina has qualified to the playoffs now, I hope that we can continue and qualify for the first time, Sweden probably won't qualify, in order for them to go to the playoffs, not only they need to win against Albania, but Portugal has to lose the match against Malta at home and there's no way that they're gonna lose that one

reading your sentence, "they are through" looks like it implies that Luxembourg could be through ... if you did not pathetically parade your religious/ethnic prejudice at every opportunity, I would have actually had to ask what you meant ... anyway, for the sake of the quality of football at South Africa 2010, I certainly hope "they" don't make it ...

That's antisemitic.

i hope that Ecuador gets eliminated.
Its just that having a World cup without Uruguay and Argentina would just be odd.

***btw, that was prob the proudest moment as a fan ...walking around Germany and having everyone (from real football nations of course: Germany, england, italy, spain, etc) saying : "its not the same without the "little world champions", as soon as they'd see the 4 stars on my light blue strip. :)

*but in reality, id love to eliminate argentina :D

that word has no meaning to me ... but your persistence with it does show that you're still deranged, prejudiced, and have delusions of grandeur based on a warped sense of reality ...

Please explain how one leads to the other, you filthy antisemite.

Even though I would love to see Luis Suarez in action in the World Cup for Uruguay, I can't imagine a WC without Argentina. So I hope they'll make it.

the problem is that Chile are already through, and so there is a good chance that they could send out a B-team, in which case a motivated Ecuador would have as good a chance as ever to take all three points ...

their coach is Bielsa, his team will try to score since the first second.

both Uruguay and Argentina would both make it if it ends all square in both Montevideo and Santiago ...

I'll be pulling for a Uruguay win come Wednesday ...

you called me an "antisemite" for a post where I replied to what you had said by highlighting two issues:

1) your sentence structure was poor, because it looked like you were implying that Luxembourg could qualify (which they cannot because they are mathematically eliminated) ... but I knew you were referring to Israel because you always parade your pride for your religion (evident, even for those who have not read your posts before, by your sig) and feel the need to promote anything and everything associated with jews or with being jewish -- be it Yossi Benayoun, or the Israeli national football team, or some woman in the "babes competition" ... and I called it pathetic because there seems to be no reason for your actions other than the fact that you are born jewish / have jewish ancestry, and are unwilling to analyze the situation without that bias in mind ... worse yet, you have deluded yourself into promoting the superiority of your religion/ethnicity wherever you feel the opportunity yields it, even if there is no scope for subjective superiority whatsoever ...

2) I said that the quality of football in South Africa would decrease if Israel qualified ahead of Greece ... my opinion is that Israel's national team is not better than Greece, let alone any of the other nations in the playoffs ... that has nothing to do with religion or ethnicity, it just means that I think Israel are inferior in skill to Greece and the other teams contesting the remaining qualification spots ... but you immediately jump to call me an "antisemite", which attempts to imply that my statement was based on prejudice against your religion -- which is completely false ... thus, I feel your reaction seems rather deranged, and based on racial/religious prejudice on your part ...

Don't you realise that I haven't taken this even a tenth as seriously as you have, and that I will continue to call you an antisemite because it is more entertaining than going into an actual argument with you, you jew-hating... antisemite?

I'm starting to think you're picking on me because I'm jewish. You know what that makes you?

It's a shame Argentina and Portugal will probably make it through, I thought a tournie without them would've been interesting.
