we won against ecuador in friendly match in november or something like that 3:0. but bow.......... very poor play by our "stars": Zurawski and Krzynowek. Every header was lost by Polish players. Our footballers stumbled on the pitch. There was no good attack of Poles. Good change by Jelen & Brozek. But we lost deservedly.

They were starved of any service. Everytime Poland got wide Ecuador had at least 2 men closing them down.

I was rooting for my Slav brethren here, but the victory for Ecuador was well deserved. (Y)

Let's hope Ecuador do the same to the Krauts. :lui:

No offense, but Poland is playing a "cold-breasted" team. It looks like that they aren't doing much of an effort, and their crosses were terrible, deserved win for Ecuador so far. Ecuador doesn't have a lot but they are doing good use of what they have.:jambo:

Anyone noticed Ecuador's keeper with his cheeks painted?:o

hurhurhur........Oh my. ******* hilarious, bro. Hope you don't mind me stealing that phrase from you from time to time.

Very competent performance by Ecuador and deserved win. I was surprised with such a poor display by Poland. Their chances look quite slim now.

It's always good, to see a south american winning over an european in Europe, since they hardly come here.:S

Yes sir.

I have a dream....All 4 Southamerican teams in the next round...

I never imagined Poland playing soooo bad...the subs looked better than the ones that started the match.

Si se puede, Si se puede!!! Hahaha...sh*tty song, but it was cool to hear it in Europe... :)

It's ok, actually "cold breasted"(pecho frio in spanish) is common in here, used chant against players, you hear like "pecho frio, pecho frio pecho frio".

Hmm. Is it possible that all the 4 south american teams reach the semi-final without meeting eachother before? Imagine if such happened.:funny:

Shouldn't it been cold-chested though? :funny: The term actually comes from horses and it was said that when it was very cold they would not get up move the load they had to carry. It was often labeled that they had "cold-breast" or "pecho-frio" and so would not do anything. Don't ask me how it got to football though...

Good for Ecuador, I expected more from Poland, but it's nice to see them leaving a positive image of South American football.

surprisingly performance by Poland. I expected a lot more. They came in second in a very unpleasant qualifying group, with teams as Austria and Northern Ireland, that are not so strong but very difficult to beat though. Polish players were too passive, never showed the will to win this match, the fact that Poland's firts shot on goal was in the 83rd minute only proves that.

On the other hand, Equador revelead a good defensive structure and a poisonous conter-attack. And Espinoza! What a Centre-back! Let's see if this is only a good exibition or the real value of this player.
