This game is incredibly important in terms of proving that we can play. The England fans need a win.

It's hard to explain how important this game is, but if you were English you'd understand. It's just the English mentality.

You can probably say the same about Brazil, and how they must "play beautiful". Still, it's a bit tough on the boy, with the coach having no confidence in him...

i think Sven showed his confidence in the boy be even PICKING him for the squad over the top English goal scorer in the EPL (Bent) and a proven EPL striker in Defoe.

He could have well picked those instead, if he ain't gonna use the boy. Unless he's saving him for when England is 2-0 down and there's 10 mins to go? that'd be way worse for Theo, I believe.

it was a great goal but the keeper was misplaced. He was far from his line and almost saved it.

England are playing better than they played in the other games but Sweden is really disappointing. Another heartless display from them. Looks like shreds of the team that made a great Euro Champ just 2 years ago.

it was a great goal but the keeper was misplaced. He was far from his line and almost saved it.

Believe me, at this sort of level keepers need to be off their line a certain amount to keep the angle down for shots, its a hell of alot easier to cover the goal also. It was an amazing goal. You could any keeper in this WC in the same situation and none of them would of saved that.
