"Hello, we're England and everytime we give Sweden a corner they nearly score, so when we go up 2-1, let's keep knocking it out for a Sweden corner in the last few minutes to really f*ck ourselves over!! yaaaaay!!! oops, 2-2".....YOU IDIOTS!!!!! Yeah yeah, top of table, avoid Germany......good stuff *waves a union-Carlos flag*, but c'mon!!!! We should've held them off!!!!!!
F*ckin' ell. Joe Cole was the only player who had a brain cell in that game. He scored with a beautiful volley and delivered a beautiful cross for Gerrard (credit to Gerrard for great header). what was Rooney doing having a paddy I don't know!!! It shows us up....
Plus our manager is Swedish, did you see him cheering when they scored the 2nd goal to make it 2-2??? ok, I made that bit up

What a **** goal to concede. Just embarrassing to concede such an awful goal.

Beating Sweden.....not important. What was important was giving Rooney some hard playing time, playing Hargreaves from the off ( I thought he was pretty great tonight), and generally just stepping up a gear. Ash is still not at his sharpest yet and we pay the price for that. Still, considering the time he's had out its to be expected. Terrible shame about Owen's knee, but we still dont know if its serious yet so we will wait on that one.
I'm not interested in any negative opinions about this game at all. Job done....move on

Sweden didn't cause us any problems what so ever from open play. Set piece defending and be rectified in training very easily. It was sloppy tonight but it's just about getting the right players in the correct position in set piece situations. Sweden are also very good at them and were never going to score from open play.
Our passing and movement was much improved, so much for England being a long ball team!

We scored one amazing individual volley from Joe Cole, and another goal which he created well. Without him we would have been beaten soundly. We created hardly any chances but still scored two which is fairly lucky. Not very impressive.

Ward just remember that the entire game plan went out of the window when we lost Owen after 3 minutes. Crouch is not an equal substitution for a fit Michael Owen. From that point on it was plan B again, and as we all know Sven does not have a reliable plan B. We miss Gary Neville big time. Carragher works hard but he is not a right back by any stretch of the imagination. Then Rio goes off injured and Sol comes on. You know as well as I do how much preperation Sol has had for this World Cup man. Considering all this, he still played better than could be expected but the rhythm of the defence had been disturbed with the injury to Rio. We have got big problems with player fitness and match readiness. It amazes me that nobody gives this a thought before they depress themselves with negative thoughts.
Cheer the fu<k up fellas and enjoy it. So far, even with all the bad luck we have had building up to this World Cup and since we started the games, we are still on track. We are exactly where we wanted to be at this stage. I dont give a damn if people are not entertained by it. I am, and it bothers me not if anyone else isn't. Just take it as it comes and relax FFS.

that was a great game, lots of action, which is surprising since it involved England...
waht are the chances once sven buggers off we'll beat sweden, seriously im getting well ****ed off with us never being able to get a result., at least today it was set pieces that done us we can work those kinks out, since most of swedens chances were all from set plays it shouldnt be too hard
