Thats what I heard, and why not? Maza > Claudio Suarez. Hes the only one we have left. And id also like to see Guardado get some time on their for us.

With the formation that Paul put up, its a 5-2-3 with the wingbacks going forward. It changes during the game though, we usually play a 5-3-2.

Wow, 3 CBs! We play a 4-5-1 that in reality is a 4-3-3 since Figo and Ronaldo are both attacking wing fowards. It should be a really good game, cause I know you guys won't just sit back and defend....right?

We better not, we can't afford the let the other game decide whether we move on or not. We have to win especially if we want to avoid Argentina.

It is 3CBs but the RCB (most of the time Marquez) usually goes up so at times we're only defending with 2 CBs and maybe a DM, everyone else attacks. Our wingbacks are where ever the balls at, if its up front, so are they, etc.

That first formation that Shiryu posted would be great even though I would probably prefer to play with two forwards instead of one. If Torrado plays on Wednesday I might just kill myself.

Scolari set to rest Portugal's cautioned five

Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has confirmed he is to rest all five players who have received a yellow card during the World Cup for Wednesday's final Group D clash with Mexico.


Scolari, speaking in a press conference at the Veltins Arena, revealed that the five players - Cristiano Ronaldo, Nuno Valente, Costinha, Deco and Pedro Pauleta - would not feature at all in the match against Mexico who need a point to be certain of pipping Angola to the second qualification spot from Group D.


'The only changes will be the five players who are on a yellow card,' said Scolari.

'They won't play one minute of the match even if Mexico are winning 30-0.'

Portugal need a draw to be certain of topping the group but have already qualified for the last 16 where they will play either Argentina or Holland.


It didn't help the Germans, though in Euro2004 when our B team beat them 3-0. Either way our B team should be able to make this an interesting match.

Our full B team has what it takes to win the match, but will they play well together as a team. Either way it should be interesting. I really don't care if we win or lose. Rest for the Argentina/Holland game we face is more important.
