Aogo, Tasci, Boateng, Khedira, Ozil, Trochowski, Marin, Podolski, Klose, Gomez and Cacau
11 foreign players from total of 23 .....absolutely disgusting

Think it was pretty clear that's exactly what I intended not to do.Nady;2889985 said:Show some appreciation at least for them for hosting the World Cup.

Poldi and Klose are ethnic Germans; just because they were born in Poland doesn't change that. Aogo, Gomez, Boateng, and Khedira have a German parent and have lived in Germany all their lives. Further, Ozil and Tasci are natural born German citizens; if you deny them then you have to deny all of the Dutch players with parents from Suriname (Seedorf, Kluivert, Davids, etc) and all the French players with parents from all kinds of other places.
So really it's only Trochowski, Marin, and Cacau. And the first two have lived in Germany since they were young kids.

Omi;2889994 said:So why does one of them have a Polish surname, and the other a Polish first name? Surely being born in Poland doesn't affect your family name, and as for Klose, that his first name isn't German suggests a far from undeniable link with the Fatherland...
