This Swedish team was unrecognizable. Did they suddenly forget how to play after the England game??

Maybe it was because Germany were more commanding today, than England in their game... ;)

I'm not saying that Germany didn't play well, the obviously did...but the Swedes showed nothing at all....

Even a weak Japan against Brasil was able to get to the opponents goal more times...

Classic Germany. Tournament team. Getting stronger each match. Klose: amazing -- that lay off on the second goal... good lord. Thanks for Larsson on pulling a Beckham there. Don't know what would have happened had he scored. Lehmann gives me the creeps. I somehow wish Kahn would be back. Other than that we are looking solid, and we are actually playing some attractive footie on top of it.

I hate this. Yeah, yeah, Germany only plays against very bad teams. And when we´re winning against a good team, everybody says "Oh man, Sweden (or a other good team) was so ****in bad."

Maybe they played not good because we were just good? ;)

And when we´re winning against Argentina --> "Argentina played just bad, why they didnt played so how vs Serbia?"

just as i expected 2-0 germany too much at home, cant blame this one on the ref he did a good not great job , not like some other games so far, , no ref calls a perfect game in any sport (maybe the bold italian) imo they got as far as they could given their tallent and circumstances of germany being at home.

So.... do you guys still feel the German defense is such a huge weakness?

Poldi and Klose; I am so glad that I said this was the best strikeforce at the world cup before the competition started.

I can't see anything other than Metzelder and Mertesacker having a torrid time against the Argies. Mertesacker looked clumsy and gave away a penalty against Sweden, a Sweden side with little pace in the forward line.

Good morning (Aspirin is your friend). The German team already exceeded all my expectations. Not because we made it to the quarters but the quality football they've been playing the whole tournament. We can beat the Argies but if we lose I'll still be proud of the team.

Argentina vs. Germany is like two complete opposites. All of Argentina's players are well known and respected, and highly marketable world wide players, and most of them are outrageously overrated. The German players are anonymous outside their own country and get zero endorsements, but they are completely underrated. Who here honestly knew how good Lahm was? And Klose's goal scoring in 2002 was almost completely brushed off as "well, he had 3 against Saudi Arabia". He's LEGIT.

Honestly, do you even know what you're talking about? German Players are anonymus outside Germany? Ballack? Klose? Podolski? Kahn? Lehmann? Huth? Sure...

Lahm is playing a good WC but he's not the player the media suggests, he was playing a good 04/05 camaign at Suttgart, got respect in the Champions League and is a well known player across europe, afterall he's the starting left-back for one of europe's top sides.

Everyone knows Klose is legit, everyone with a proper working brain that is. Afterall he scored 24 and layed on 15 in this Bundesliga season, noones underrating him. He's a far better player now than he was back in '02 when he really only relied on his heading.

Argentina's players are outrageously overrated? The only one I can think of is Saviola, and he's been playing a very good WC so far. I can't see any other player beeing overrated, Riquelme? Mascherano? Rodriguez? Tevez? Messi?
