So Puyol can't complain ****. Henry was bad yeah, i'm not gonna defend him but I ain't feeling sorry for Puyol.

come on, be serious ! there's a huge difference between both plays ...

I wouldn't critizise him too much. He's not doing anything different than many other players. It's Fifa who should do something in the future.


I don't have much to say about the game. France deseved the win and I'm happy for them. The only thing I feel about the spanish NT is indiference.

any of you remember what schumacher did to battiston without even getting a warning for it?, and you complain players dive?, did you see what pernia tried to do to ribery?.

ps: yeah diving sucks but it sucks even more when some no name player injures a good player (Pires before the '02 world cup).

pps: i was months old by the '82 world cup but i sure as hell saw the reruns of it.

unfortunately, diving is a part of the game. and no, it doesn't make it right or excusable.

i didn't think henry would stoop to that level, especially after him calling out puyol after the cl final.

so i'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. after watching the replay, i think puyol's hair got stuck in henry's eye. if you look at it closely, you can see it.

serves him right...he should cut his hair.

After the CL Final, he talked so much about diving, and now he knocks out Spain with a dive.

I have to agree, what's funny is that the only real dive in the CL final came from Arsenal. as Eboue won a freekick by diving which later proved to be how Arsenal ended up with a goal. All the french superstars complain and accuse others team of blatant cheating.. while they actually go about with thier own blatant cheating. BTW Zidane is horrible, his passing is really off and the same with his crossing, plus he has no speed whatsoever. I think France can without him, he's not helping defensively (aside from on defending corners) and his offensive efforts for the most part have amounted to nothing. He was half the player he was at euro 04. I really don't want to see Zidane anymore, the faster he hangs up those boots the better. But at the same time france doesn't have anybody who can fulfill his role as well as he did in the past, which isn't a good thing at all either. This french side doesn't have much working for them.

well, i think any player injuring another player sucks. especially if it's from an unnecessary tackle. but anytime a player is injured, it's sad to see.

The result would still be the same minus Puyol's yellow card which wouldn't have mattered since Spain is out. The whole game itself was actually fairly played. The ref had 95% of his decisions spot on, and had not made any serious mistakes. All in all, Spain was outplayed. Their back four gave the French too much space and their attack failed to break down the French defence at all. Ribbery's first goal was actually France's winning goal.

play acted= DIVE, even in the replay you can see Puyol didn't elbow him, unless you can call that an elbow. I call the motion your arm makes while running. I agree about the ref, though he did a good job. Henry = Diver.

I think ur just an idiot. Zidane is not there to outwhit anyone you frikkin moron. He did in Euro 2004 (particulary those English) and now he is doing a fine job for France. He is the go-to man whether u like it or not. Half the time on the pitch, he was open and his arms were waving in the air for a clear pass, but the players decided to do their own bit of work. I love how u and many others r so analytical of Zidane. He's not there to prove anything. He's there cuz he loves to play the game and he can contribute to France GREATLY. Just cuz u got hatred for him, doesn't mean u can bash him for nothing. That goal he scored was priceless and showed that if u give the ball to him, he'll finish it. BTW, Puyol had it coming all game. He got raped during Zidane's goal.

Then you are blind. Puyol clearly cut off the run of henry, clearly not playing (or protecting) the ball. Clear case of obstruction. What happened with the elbow and the theatrics are a different story.

it's ok when we win there's always a catch, oh you only win at home, oh you only win with golden goals, oh you won with a penalty, the ref gave you this and that.

what actually pissed me off were the spaniards jeering during la marsellais, and the racists comments, i mean you have marcos senna there, im not trying to be demeaning in any way but he's a black player like vieira and henry are, how can you say racist comments?, and you gotta show some respect for national anthems, that was just sad, i was reading the news and it said it was the first time a national anthem was jeered on in this world cup.

ps: raymondo shut me up i been hard on him and his choices for starting players and system, but against spain he did the right thing for once. i hope he can keep it up, although ribéry still plays for the forces of evil (l'OM) he had a great match hopefully he can keep it up too.

things i didnt like on the pitch, henry getting caught offside like 20 times, after 4 or 6 times you catch on to it, i guess he had some tactical assignment or something that made him forget about the os trap
