They really trashed us when we lost against Portugal in the whole of Germany on tv, radio, newspapers you name it so you think it's strange we feel this way. The next time our teams play it's going to be WAR that's for sure. Not because we want it but because it's in our nature.
Germany vs Holland is rivalry all the wayl and I don't think that will change soon too.

Italy deserved the win today, but the Frings cheapshot clearly had an effect on the Germans. Germany seemed like the more attacking team but, overall, I just got the feeling that the Italians were more likely to score. They just kept building up the pressure and appeared more dangerous throughout the match.

Schweinsteiger faded as the tournament went on.......so did the German goals.

WOW! Thankfully the internet doesn't require a voice because I have none! I am going to try and not miss spell anything but I highly doubt I will be able to due to the mass hysteria my house is right now...

First off, Germans should be proud of their squad who had an amazing cup and fought hard today... With that said, without a doubt the better team went through today. Italy totally controlled the matchup with much better possession, passes, movement etc... Italy's problem within the 90 minutes was they couldn't produce much danger within the German's last third of the field. The Italian defense played their best game of the tourney, thus far... That was a magical performance that no team could penetrate. Pure class and unbreakable...

Finally Italy made some significant changes in the overtime period and thus came the attack and finally the brilliant finishing by the Italians!

Deserved trip to the finals for Italy and still remain the team to beat especially when they haven't allowed a goal from the opposing team, only themselves, lol...

I thought it was back and forth, very quick and exciting. Both teams had numerous opportunities and both Lehmann and Buffon made some fantastic saves. I think it was pretty even, but the man that tipped the balance to Italy in my opinion was Cannavaro. Otherwise it was just about as even as you can see.

I gotta congratulate the Italians, superb defence once again, for most of the game i couldn't see where a German goal was going to come from. I said before the game that history was heavily stacked against the Germans and this proved to be the case, it would've been interesting to see how things would've panned out if it went down to penalties. But of the 2 sides you probably were the more deserving of the win. I guess now you'll be rooting for Portugal because the French have the edge over you just as you did over Germany. Best of luck in the final.

Try Italy's 11 shots on goal to Germany's 6, the fact that Italy generally had more attacking play, 12 corners as opposed to Germany's 4, they hit the bar, hit the post, forced more saves out of Lehmann and really went for it.. now who was playing the more attacking Football!?
