The guy's been underestimated and underappreciated for years now.
Happy to see Oranje win lead by van Hooijdonk. Guy's been #3 or #4 for years now despite being such an effective striker and he's always been loyal and humble. I'm happy to see him start and pick two goals.
I still think Romania is 2002's Ireland. They're picking up the 3 points and it's going to be a close race between Romania, Czech Republic and us. We shouldn't underestimate the opposition; the Czechs will be stronger in the return.

how the hell do Holland and Czech ALWAYS end up playing against each other, in the qauls, in the finals, in every ****in tournament. its uncanny.
Yeah I agree, they always seem to play eich other in every tournament and qualifying round 
I'm happy we won yesterday and Marco van Basten proves to be a man with a vision and he shows what Cruyff is saying every year attack attack and attack and I must say i was pleasantly surprised by this team. Sure there are a lot of youngsters but this team can only grow. Castelen is the new Overmars, he's quick and his technique is good too I say he's a great talent and van Basten sees this too. Kuyt played very well too altho his endpass needs to improve more. He was involved in both goals and that says it all!! Happy to see van der Vaart getting into form one week before Ajax-Juve
van der Sar is clearly the undisputed nr 1 goalkeeper for Holland, the reflexes on that guy yesterday were unbelievable, he managed to keep out some very difficult balls
Pi-Air showed once again that he's a great striker and van Basten sees the quality in him too that's obvious!
Our new captain Davids worked real hard and was at times fantastic between the attack and defense.
The revanche is ours anyway, we'll see in Prague if we can do it again but by then their team is complete again with Galasek and Poborsky but so will our team with Ruud van Nistelrooij, Robben and Bouma so
Romania is indeed a dangerous opponent but when i tell my gf this (who is romanian) she laughs and says that they are weak!
I say different, Romania has a strong team and it will be hard when Mutu and Chivu are back later.
It's a good start, the 3 points are there but we have a long way to go still and CZ is by far not beaten!!

Romania Only won cuz of a sucking NUTS opponent andorra and if u see carfeully u see andorras keeper didnt make any save (maybe one or two) but still if van der sar is at fulham doesnt mean he suck and robben and all good ppl are out doesnt matter if they r gonnal lose van basten put in the reseves and whooped Czech Republics A S S man
