I wouldn't be too worried....no one left has the speed of Ghana.

Spain and Brazil are comparable speed wise, if anything Brazil is faster. So it will be a less hectic game for the Brazilian defense.

yea but brasils defence isn't good either, i think ghanas strikers lacked accuracy and pacience when attacking, if they had those two they would of atleast tied the match.

Lucio and Juan are playing very well... Brazil isnt good in tactical... Cafu and R.Carlos doesnt go always to attack in the laterals...

Brazil plays like sh!t and wins. I don't see Brazil losing it. Argentina is crap, so are Germany and England. Just give it to them and it's all good. Spain-Brazil (France sucks), that's a tough game, but I predict 2-0 Brazil, playing like crap again.

Brazil finish their chances, Ghana didn't and I wasn't surprised since they were like this against the Czechs too where they got tons of chances to just get the game over with from earlier. Actually the second goal might not have been offside, because I think the ghana defender just infront of Adriano actually touched the ball and then hit Adriano in the knee. Technically if an opposing player touches the ball the offside rule doesn't apply, just ask Gerrard during euro 04. Maybe the ref saw that because that's what I also thought from when I first saw it, the ball does look like it deflected off the defender in front of Adriano, I saw the replay, but its tough to say.

Anyways Ghana played well, the scoreline doesn't reflect the effort. But Ghana poor defence, the offside trap did not work at all and that what costed them. But they have a really fast team, definately one of the fastest in the world.

The defender did touch the ball. But that doesn't matter. The cross was aimed to Adriano. Gerrard made the pass in 2004. The Ghanaian defender didn't.

You know how it is when the GK parries a ball and an offside is called because the rebound is tapped in by a striker that was ahead of the defence in the moment the shot came in.

The offside thing you mentioned only applies if he passes the ball to the opponent. Things like ball flicking at you then falling to your opponent, naw, it's offside, since the player is taking advantage from a wrong position to score.

If the ball is played to you by an opposing player, then you're onside.

my 2 cents
the game was never in doubt, the scoreline was not what i predicted but the goal diff was, a 8-4 score in brasils favor would not of suprised me if i believed in WHAT IF,WOULD OF,SHOULD OF,but i dont. great players are able to controll their adrenalin in the moment of truth,under enormous pressure.
neutrals might be disapointed with perreira killing the game after the first goal and not leaving everything on the pitch like ghana did. but im not, you never know what kind of energy is needed for the next game,the ultimate goal is to be champions again and not like 82, perreira has the right strategy for that and im with him 100% i got faith in him he knows what it takes.
erick Wynalda(spell)is a d!ck and an @sshole about ronaldo, such disrespect during halftime of thegame he should just salute him.
the ref had as great a game as human error allows, ALL the yellows were good calls, adrianos goal was offsides but it was a tough angle at real speed and not the refs fault but the linesman.
adriano made life for brasil harder than needed by being greedy(perreira will talk to him),ze roberto dispite the goal was subpar in defence surprising, bench r.carlos and put gilberto in,ronaldinho was handcuffed by perreira and ghanas midfield, emerson was injured for all but 10 minutes of the game, dida was amazing, ronaldo is the
best pure striker of all time and deserves the WC goal record, but still out of form yet improving every game and so selfless. kaka amazing again out cunning and running every one. lucio and juan played great again dispite what balboa says, it was not their fault it was the midfields fault.

about ghana,great world cup they controlled the midfield wonderfully for most of the game mainly for what they did to brasil but also emerson was hurt and ze roberto played subpar to his standards dispite missing essien,again mainly a tribute to ghana,kingson played amazing as well,ghana played to win and not alot of
teams are willing to do that vs brasil(australia),they played the high offside trap during all the games and it worked,but this time they faced an offense that are bigger and just as fast as their defenders to the coachs fault they looked surprised by that.now that ghana is gone no team other than france can match brasil athletically.to me i truly think this was the hardest match up left for brasil in the WC regardless of braket mainly for ghanas team speed im now more confident than before on brasils chances of a back to back.i honestly dont care who brasil has to play from this point on, though i rather avoid the home team germany.
