Yessssssssssssss we did it again :lui: :lui: beat Finland with 0-4 in Helsinkiand and van Basten is still unbeaten this season :hump:
The game was not fantastic but we won anyway, the first goal was from RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD VAN NISTELROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY and a beauty it was, a relief for himself, he scored a 2nd goal but that was disallowed :nape: when it was a clear goal.
The 2nd one was scored by Philip Cocu in the rebound, the third was a great counterattack, Robben crossed the ball to van Persie and he gave it to Kuyt and he scored easily but that one was offside I think
The fourth goal was van Persie again but he did it all by himself this time.
Wow he grew a lot with Arsenal under the wings of Wenger, had two assists which resulted in two goals and made the last one himself and sooooooo cool as well. He came in and changed the game.

WE ARE BACK AT THE TOP AND QUALIFICATION IS NOW VERY VERY CLOSE :lui:
This team rockzzzzzzz, big names in football and they all play for Holland :ewan:

van Persie has improved so much since the game against Southampton. He got sent off, I reckon Wenger just said "You gotta work for your place here, work or you're out!".
And he did, Holland and Arsenal are reaping the rewards. His ego has certainly seemed to shrink a fair bit. He's quickly becoming one of my favourite players at Arsenal now. Great touch and vision. Not the fastest guy ever, but neither was Bergkamp ;). He's gonna be a very good player.

Yeah, I must say, he's turned about 350 degrees. He's not there completely, looking at the way he was quickly annoyed by the interviewer after the match, but in the group and on the pitch he did great.

I think both Ruud, when he made his second, and Van Persie, before giving the assist for the actual 0-2, were offside. 0-4 or 0-3, not much of a difference, Finland should have taken a 3-1 lead by the time Nigel De Jong was taken off for Hedwiges Maduro. They were way better up until Maduro came in. And Van Persie finished them off.

Van Persie was (Y)(Y)

Funny how van Basten tries to make it an all Ajax team, but the non-Ajax players decide the game

Van Nistelrooy's goal was awesome, thought he had pushed out too wide then he smashed it in. (Y) Didn't expect Van Persie to have such an impact on the game when he came on but he was great.

So far our results are great, but I have doubts about the game against Czech Republic. The team still does not seem to be totally comfortable, even though we've won practically everything. The three-man midfield is constantly outplayed, the only thing keeping us winning is the class up front. When we finally face a true opponent I fear we will not be able to hold the lines. But who cares, we'll qualify anyway as the best no.2 in any poule. :)

FYI we won the first game against CZ here in Amsterdam too  and with excellent play as well..I'm not worried for CZ even if it's in Prague, maybe we will loose but we won't give in easily knowing van Basten.

We played like **** to be honest. Finland controlled most of the game and that Emerenko Jr guy is class. He deserves better than Lecce.

But we showed class in the last 10 minutes of the game with some excellent counterattacking.

Ruud's goal was excellent and it came out of nowhere too.

Maduro made the difference in the last 20 minutes of the game. Great controlling midfielder. I think he made the difference in the end.

Van Persie, I think he's made more impact in Oranje than van der Vaart.

Uhm, I don't think so. Heitinga played because Bouhlarouz wasn't 100% fit. De Jong played only because your boy van Bommel couldn't handle his defensive responsibilities. Maduro came on as a sub. On the other hand, you had Lucius, Robben (ex-PSV) and Cocu.

EDIT: Melchiot is trash, Kromkamp and Lucius are injured. Niels Oude Kamphuis anyone?!?!?!?!

Right back? Don't think so. He only wants to play right mid nowadays.
We'll have to wait a while for some replacements. Dwight Tiendalli, Tim Bakens, Dustley Mulder, Gianni Zuiverloon... all not good enough, yet. Heavily talented though.

So for now we're stuck with Melchiot and Ooijer. Well, next time around Lucius, and possibly Kromkamp, will be back in action again.

Ahum Cody, Maduro changed about the entire match when coming on. He pretty much decided the game
