WE7 vs FIFA 2004

after seeing we7 I dont think fifa has the best graphics anymore. The good thing about fifa are the realistic faces. The body shapes of fifa are just very weird, in we7 its the also weird but its more aimed at the reality if you compare them both.
The replays/celebrations/cut scenens in fifa are very well done, but if you have ever watched a football game you will see that the camera angels and the way the player celebrates are most of the times wrong.
The celebrations and camera angles in we7 are much more realisctic like watching an actual football game on tv. Yes they do vibrate too much during celebration, but if they fix this it will be just fine.

I have played both Fifa 2003, and have played WE6 FE non stop since January (only once in that time has another game been in my PS2 and that lasted 1 hour.
I laugh at the slew of Fifa supported who love to say "fifa 2003 was a huge improvement from 2002"......ummm yeah true... but wake up man, Fifa 98 is better then 2003. The scripting BS ins 2003 was all over the place. The stupid ass goal keepers charging out to grab a ball regardless if a defender was covering a guy and after all is said and done the scripted run on by the strike slots a ball past the charging keeper, after the ball gets 5 yards past him THEN the keeper goes to the ground to make a save. You people that play the game and still support it are blind. The EA promises have been the same EVERY year. Thats right EVERY year. The videos from E3, showed.. nothing... nothing.. gameplay looked the same as 2003 regarless if it was a Alpha or not.. There is no chance it will oevr take We7. It took Konami 5+ years to get to where they are. I bought Fifa, and was pissed a month later, since 98. Forget all the bugs,scripted gameplay, and horrible stats for players (not to mention saying Clint Mathis was a CB and Cherundelo was CF in WC 2002), forget all that... there is no reason I can buy this game, start a season with my team (middlesbrough) on world class, and beat every team, from Bolton, to Real Madrid by 2 or more goals easily even with the CPU scripted crap. That is unexceptable and to believe this year will be different is silly. It may be better.. But wont come close to WE7. I have played more seasons of WE6 FE in 4+ months then I have of fifa in 4+ years (cause I mater fifa in 1 week). That shows the draw of WE games, the longevity is huge. EA will not equal that. I dont think even 5 years form now will EA equal that.
Now that being said. I support competiton.. and would liek to see EA get back on track. But 2003 being better then 2002 means nothing when 2003 doesnt even equal the longevity of WC 1998 which I still own.

I also have WC98.
It was my last best game from fifa. WC98 was a great improvement as for gameplay from FIFA RTWC 98.
IMHO from WC98 there was only one improvement – ball curving, which is to some extent could compete with WE.

Yeah WC 98 was competative too.. I spent all fing summer trying to get out of the group with the USA. ANd I never did win the cup with them... it was great. Kept me coming back for more. Won the world cup with Brazil thats it

In WC98 there were also some hidden parameters of the players, which couldn’t be edited!
Do u remember? I played patched game, where instead nationals teams were clubs and I had Dinamo Kiev, which originally was Iran or something.
All my players had a great abilities (edited) but wtf? I couldn’t won the champ!
Only after a couple months I found out – there were hidden player parameters like attack bias (kinda WE parameters), defense, though it affected my players and got them down.
Finally, I’ had manage to win only 5-7 times (without cheating) – it was a great game and funny, in spite a big bug – almost 80% goals I scored from the corner

I play all the FIFA's
but none of them come even close to WE6FE in the gameplay department...
however, I am excited for FIFA 2004 because of the online play on the PS2.. graphics.. presenstation.. sound.. and all teams, licenses and new season modes some things that EA beats konami in every year.

I think, they try to economize their money and that’s why they hire a new stuff, probably with poor students. LOL!

Well, see they want a scripted game out there so the players can master it quickly so they can be ready to play their up coming game. If EA builds a game like WE/PES, can you imagine, some of the fans might not buy it every year cause the game is still enjoyable. Thats what EA is affraid of... 
In what way is it overrated. The people who see it as better than fifa games, do so because, it has the best ai and animations of any football game, it has a longevity that no other games have and it gives u more freedom, of tactics than any other game out there. In these terms it aint over rated
The only way i see it as overrated is when people say that it is perfection, i agree that all of the above and others can be improved on but the fact is it does the basic things well

thats what I mean... u say something against WE and people jump you like you are on crack.. I have WE, and I am ejoying it.. but once you figure the shooting... is too easy to dribble. and too easy to score goals... and the cpu does cheat on extreme like 1 guy was saying on the WE forums...
but anyway, imo We is a good game.. gameplay wise it does somethings better than fifa.. but thats it.
I werent jumping on u i was just stating its the best game out there, and i know pro evo has faults gameplay, and graphical.
I aint some guy who goes around saying oh pro evo is so great yada yada yada, i am objective, and i understand football alot. I know u think people like games just cus of the names and reviews, but if pro evo game next year is exactly the same as last years but updates its most likely i wont buy it and maybe just rent it, just as if fifa 2004 improves i will buy thats ( significantly).
I have said in the past that Fifa games have way more potential than pro evo. I agree the shots and dribbling is easy to master if u know how to go between r2 and r1 correctly, i could also add to that players dont have certain characteristics, like zidane loves his step overs, keane is over physical, viera goes for a lot of slide tackles
