WE7i PC Euro 2004 Patch coming.

OK, lately i've been working on a Euro 2004 patch for my own personal use, but i've put so much work into it that it would be a shame to not let other people enjoy it.

First of all, a few things i need to do before releasing is ask permission from Wolf and a few kit makers. This is because i've modified Wolf's PL/CL option file to make it. The reason i did this was because i wanted to have accurate euro 2004 rosters but still keep all the club teams from Wolf's patch. (And like i said, it was originally for my own use)

Anyway, here's what the patch will basically have -

Exact rosters and numbers for Euro 2004, including accurate starting formations. This will mean there is alot of player creating involved, hence why it's taking so long. Latvia will replace Northen Ireland.

That's basically the patch, apart from hopefully including the Latvia kits and the updated flags with Latvia in the download, once i've asked permission from Kel for the Latvia kits, and Wolf for the flags.

I have also changed a few hairstyles to correspond with a few real life hairstyle changes i've noticed.

Here is my current progress:

England - Complete (Maybe just a few minor tweaks before release, but the roster is all complete.)

France - Same as above

Spain - Same as above

Portugal - Same

Holland - Same

Germany - Same again.

Czech Republic - Rosters complete, but need to double check a few things.

Italy - Complete. (Also changed numbers/name colour to gold.)

Latvia - About 85% complete at an estimate. I've completely replaced Northen Ireland, so the team no longer exist in the game, and i also changed the call name to some random team beginning with L, so it isn't as bad as Northen Ireland sounds. All i need to do now is create about 5 players and the team is done.

Greece - Yet to start, and i assume they will take a while.
Denmark - Same
Croatia - Same
Switz - Same
Russia - Same
Bulgaria - Same
Sweden - Same.

As you can see, it appears i'm half done, but the teams remaining willt ake alot longer than the ones complete will because it involves creating ALOT of new players. Anyway, the release will be before the end of Euro 2004 def because it would be pointless otherwise. I'm going to put an estimate on Wednesday or earlier, but don't hold me by that.

Here's a pic of latvia in game.

Also, i just finished importing stats for the danish team, so all that's left now is to edit the appearance of the players i imported and the danish team can be added to the completed list.

Oh, and btw, i'm no artist so don't epect the created players so look remotely like thier life counterparts. You'll be lucky if you manage to find any similarities at all, but i'll try my best.

Well since the patch is just a modified version of Wolf's patch, then all the kits are already there providing you have installed the patch. If you havent then you cans till use my patch but the club teams wouldn't be correct, since wolf's patch modifies a few of them, and the kits would also not be correct.

I will be including a few kits with the download on the other hand once i've asked the author permission. (All oragne dutch kit, latvia kits etc.)

Just completed Denmark and Sweden btw.

Remaining Teams:

Russia
Switzerland
Croatia
Bulgaria
Greece
Latvia (Roster only)

Then just a bit of tweaking before i finish.

Not sure really, not very much i'd imagine.

Included with the download will be the option file, We7.exe file, 2 flag .bin files, 4 Latvia kit .Bin files, and maybe something else.

Shouldn't be too much for 56Ker's.

Update:

Just finished Croatia and Greece. Greece hsa been the easiest so far, didn't realise there were so many greek players already in the game.

It was using a program called WEditor. It lets you modify the .exe file and change things like call names and team names etc. This is the link i believe. May only work for WE and not PES, but you can give it a try. Save Target As for the link, or copy into the address bar.

Just to update, i've finished importing all stats for the russian team, and also had to create some stats myself because they werent in the cm4 database (Most of it was just guesswork.) So editing the player faces will probablly take me the rest of the nite. I'm assuming the 3 and a half (Half of latvia) remaining teams will take just as long so im going to back on my word of the release date and change it. I don't know when i'll release it but it'll definately be before the end of the tournement and hopefully be before the end of the week.

OK, an update.

I've finally imported every player into the game. This means that all rosters are up to date. Now, i have about 25 faces i need to edit for the some of the players i created. This will take me about 3 or 4 hours and will spend most of thursday doing it.

Once the faces are done, i will then e-mail a few people asking thier permission to include a few things with the download. This will be all for Thursday.

Then, on friday, i will spend 2 - 3 hours checking the rosters, making sure theres now duplicate players and now players are left out. I'll also do a few other tweaks to kick takers etc. before releasing it friday night.

This is all assuming that nothing is going to come up on thursday preventing me from doing that.

Will do. Just finished the faces for Bulgaria, Russia and Switzerland. Now i have about 5 Latvia faces which wont take long, and i'm done. I still won't be releasing till tomorrow though because i planning on going out and watching the match toninght, and will want most of tomorrow for some adjustments.

There is also the problem of hosting. I have no idea where i am going to host the file.

Any chance of a stat update going to be on that patch?
Especially for players like C Ronaldo and Rooney who've proven this tournement that they're way better than pretty much anyone thought.
