WE7i PC..... from shudder to udder problems

hello all

it's certainly an improvement on PES3, but this is most annoying......

i followed The Wolf's advice, it does indeed seem the only way to get rid of the shudder problem is to reduce the refresh rate to 60hrtz....

but when doing this there seem to be a 'rolling' horizontal line accross the screen - more evident when things speed up - and seen easily when across the half way line as it appears to break its vertical line

i've tried changing v-sync/aa/af settings and resolution/detail combinations all to no avail

i remember this happening with PES3, certainly after the 'official' patches messed everything up! but with the patches removed and some tweaking it did run very well

any help greatly appreciated

I had the tearing problem off and on for a long time, only thing that fixed it for good was going to 75+hrtz which it looks like you can't do...Don't know man :X

So I'm not the only one who's experiencing this rolling line problem. That's a good thing I guess.

My sys specs are close to yours:

Athlon xp2400+
Win XP sp1 w/ all updates
GeForce FX5200 w/ 128 MB
256MB RAM

I spent a long time messing with the different resolutions and quality settings but couldn't get rid of the rolling line. I'll try your tip about changing the refresh rate. Another thought that comes to mind is the color depth settings under windows. I remember having to change it from 32 bit to something less for a different game.

I'll give that a shot and let you know if it helps out at all.

Any other ideas and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Peace out...

I had the same issue

I reduced the refresh rate to 60hz and I enables vsync.

Fixed the problem for me.

right-click desktop - properties - settings - advanced

and depending on your card, there should be tab for Direct3D settings - choose 'custom' and change v-sync to 'on'

the one thing i hadn't tried was turning v-sync on!

That's what finally sorted it for me too when I got the tearing issue after the shudders. (Sounds like a bad medical problem!)

About v-sync. It isn's there! I have Nvidia Geforce 4 mx 440 and 51+ drivers ,but there is no "custom"! Only Opengl,direct3d....,but in direct3d is no custom! :kader:

Do you have the latest Detonator drivers installed because regardless of your NVidia card after GeForce 4 220, you should be able to enable v-sync.

Ok. I tried the wolf solution, and this one. I fixed the shudder problem, but now I get slowdowns in penalty area. :kader:

Thats ****ed up. Why did konami release this version of we7i, which contains the same **** as pes3 official patch.

When I player pes 3 without patch, it ran smooth on 1240*1024. now with We7i it runs badly on 1024/764. I just don't understand how can that be. How can they messed up with that pes 3 patch, which is obviusly still in We7i?????

Hey I still can't fix de shudder problem :(
I tried what Wolf said but the problem is that my default refresh rate is 60hz so it should work but it doesn't... I also turned the vsync mode on but it still happens...
what can I do ?

sound problem doesn't seem to be fixed. I've set my acceleration level to basic but I still have slowdowns when closing on to the penalty areas. the weird thing is, "basic" setting works on PES3 but not on WE7I. :kader:
