WE9 PC Online Update --- Transfers + Kits + Chants

Hi guys, need some help...
I installed the roster update by using DKZ to patch, after that i used the option file provided here and overwrite the original option file in my WE 9 folder.

Everything works fine, except when I play online, the opponent's jersey colours are always black no matter what team they use. My own kit is fine though... Is this normal ??

Any help appreciated, thx in advance..

Did you download GDB.zip? STEP #4?? Make sure you follow the instruction to the end!!



UPDATE: Now the roster file contains real flags thanks to FredrikOlsson. Just get the roster file again (it's updated to June 10) if you want the flags!!

Has a lot of the latest transfers i done other the day missing, see the other thread for the latest update. There's still the problem occuring i mentioned in the other thread as well about the dkz patching files where there is an extra folder to patch to. Open your patch and you'll see the o_text.afs folder which is fine, double-click into that and it has FLG Files.afs and Bin files.afs which if you double-click into that it has the files in. What you need to do is move the files so its directly after the o_text.afs and not have the FLG and BIN folders. This is cos i've had mates of mine having problems with it not patching correctly and also why some might have these fake players. Top job on all the other stuff though.

There's a problem with the kit's numbers. The gdb file has numbers for each kit, but then ingame a lot of kits have the default "font" (mostly national teams, but teams as sevilla and zaragoza too). I followed all the steps in the patch installation. Does anybody else has this problem too?

You have pretty high standards don't ya. Luckily the guy who did the flags also did faces, but I'd like to test it more for online compatibility first. You may be able to get real faces soon!

Actually that glitch has dissapeared after the last update for me...

Was gameplay changed ? My game stats are different now. More ball possesion for my side, less fouls and less shots in general.
It's strange because 5 starts seems easier then 3.
Also for some unknown reason my game crashes when I go to edit the dutch league. Anyone have that as well ?

i would suggest not to use the updated roster for online play cuz most of ppl do not use it... just keep it original and fair

world cup rosters are not very updated.

for example in france squad
Pires is still in ( thought he was left out of the wc squad )
Franck Ribery is missing
Florent Malouda is missing

I think there are other missing players.

All of the players you mentioned are in the French squad and Pires and Guily are not. Probably you did something wrong during the patching...

Now that I thought about it. Yes you migt be right. I was talking about the French roster online. It is updated. But I think you are right about the option file being not updated for offline play. I hope there will be an updated one soon.

I really love this patch, great work and thanks. But just found out Fenerbahce's Anelka has a different face Hope this will be fixed soon too.

You are right. I didn't check the teams in offline games before offering the option file. It turns out the option file is no good for offline games.

Sorry about the mishap. I intended these series of updates for the ONLINE games but should have thought about people that like to play offline also.

I've taken down the OPTION file, and I recommend you experiment with one of the many many option files out there which should update things for your offline experience.
