he's just 23 and he owns C.Ronaldo & Rooney put together
First of all both Rooney and Ronaldo are JUST 19, unlike Zidan who is 4 years older and second of all he is not better than them, not even better than one of them. Don't exaggerate.

Well ...

Well, being a danish guy, who has been following Zidan for the last 6 years *since his time in AB*, I can only wish him the greatest of luck... He IS a brilliant player, and a LOT of major clubs have tried to sign him in the last year and a half ...

And yes, he is more likely to play for the danish national team than the egyptian, as he has numerous times applied to get a special permition, so that he could play for Denmark before he normally would have been able to ...

Yea he said one day he will get citizenship and play for Denmark.I think when he retires he will be going back to Denmark not to Egypt. All of his family are in Denmark in any case.He pklayed his first game for them in a 1-1 draw.He came on as a sub for Valdez.

he IS better
he's just not as fameous as them as he played for Danish club in Danish league so he didn't exist in european football
C. Ronaldo played in Portugeese league and then in Premier so he was fameuos from beginning, but fame isn't everything...if Zidan would play in better league most of kids would cum hearing his name, just like they do when they hear Ronaldo now :crazyboy:

Zidan > young Zidane > C.Ronaldo >>>> Rooney :mrpimp:

PS. when Werder will play first match?

:| , not very famous? He was linked with a number of big clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Barcelona and a bunch of italian clubs. So what if he played in danish league? Denmark is an unknown country? As far as i know, people barely know anything about portugese league as well, only thanks to Porto they are starting to look more into to. and Ronaldo before he came to United, he wasn't even a starter at Sporting. And again Rooney and Ronaldo are 4 years younger, yes 4. Where was Zidan at 17-19? no where, that's right. Good players don't go by in unknown leagues with the outside world never hearing of them. Zidan is a good player, but when comparing to Ronaldo and Rooney, he is completely out of their league.

I don't care where was Zidan when he was 19, I care where he is NOW and how does he play NOW
comparing 19 yrs old Zidan to 19 yrs old Rooney is just guessing, it doesn't work like that (if ManU would beat Liverpool and Liverpool would beat Chelsea, should we know then that ManU will beat Chelsea...? )

from what I know Portugeese league is more known than Danish league, and yes, clubs like Porto, Sporting or Benifica made it more fameous - where are Danish clubs in CL/UEFA..?

Ronaldo has similar style as him (crazy moves) but he's midfielder so he doesn't score so many goals, I dunno could we compare players from different positions so ok...
but Rooney (forward) is a joke comparing to Zidan...and I don't compare in which clubs their were playing but their skills on the pitch and value for their teams
Zidan will be playing for Werder, Rooney for ManU, who's goals and moves will be showed more often and by more ppl? Rooney can score nice long goal against Chelsea and media will be showing that milion times
Zidan can score hattrick against Bayern and well, German TV will show it few times and maybe Eurosport, wow... if he'd play for Barca he would be a friggin star, but maybe he'll start like Ronaldinho who was awesome in "some" PSG and after moving to Barca he became football God, a genius..

same with Deco and Ronaldinho, first won league (?), Champions League and almost Euro in last times but he's not so good as Ronni who didn't win anything last seasons (WC was 3 yrs ago)
if Zidan will play some good stuff he has chances to better club and be better than all of those Rooneys, but of course he can dissapear too, as Elber who was the best striker in europe his times in Bayern, but well, it's "only" Bayern...
Henry would be just another good striker if he'd play for Borussia or Schalke for example, but he plays in Premiership and he owns all of them

we'll see how it'll be, nobody knows
maybe Robinho will own them, he's forward too :P

Then if he is so good, how come he did make his team more known to the public? Zidan is a forward, while Rooney is an attacking midfielder for United and if you talk about the value for the team, then you just have to watch his United games. He doesn't score much? He scored 7 goals in 17 matches so far, counting that he didn't play as a striker. And when you look, Rooney rarely gives a ball away and always comes back to defend, whenever the opposing team is attacking. Rooney IS a huge value to a club as big as United, where it is a lot harder to be big.

About the tv coverage, of coarse they will show more of Rooney's long shot, if you are watching Sky Sports or BBC. It all depends on what channel you are watching and also the fact that EPL is harder to play in than in germany and not even talking about Denmark.

As for Deco and Ronaldinho, now they play for the same club and tell me who is better? I don't think i even need to tell that.

Anyone can burst infront of the world and then dissapear and if you are looking right now, then Rooney is as valueable to United as Zidan will be to Werder if not even more and it is a lot harder to be valuable at Manchester United rather than Werder Bremen.

I don't want to quote all post, so I'll only say Xavi is beter currently, but Ronni is spectacular and his potential is bigger than both Deco+Xavi
especially visible last season

Speaking of Egyptian players, can anyone tell me anything about Al Ahly FC's Mohamed Shawky? He just got a trial at Palace and there is a chance he may sign for us.

If he turns out to be good he will end up at either Bayern or Schalke sooner or later. So he better be good. :p
