this is absolutely :crazyboy:

there are many low quality teams included in FIFA 2002 - there are complete korean, israeli, american, norwegian, swedish and other leagues; but lots of teams from other countries, much better than the teams from the leagues I just mentioned, are missing. I think that it is a BIG fault of FIFA 2002. In FIFA 2003, there should be added at least 30-40 teams from the countries that don't have complete league in the game:
HOL: PSV, Feyenoord, Ajax
POR: Benfica, Boavista, Sporting, FC Porto
TUR: Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Besiktas
CZE: Liberec, Sparta, Slavia
SVK: Zilina, Puchov, Inter Bratislava
RUS: Spartak, Lokomotiv, Zenit
HUN: Zalaegerszeg, Ferencvaros, Hungaria
CRO: NK Zagreb, Hajduk, Dinamo
POL: Legia, Wisla
UKR: Dynamo Kiev, Shakhtar Donetsk
GRE: PAO, Olympiakos, AEK
ROM: Steaua, Dynamo
SLO: Maribor, Primorje
FIN: Tampere, HJK
etc.

generally, I would appreciate if there were ALL teams that played in Champions League, UEFA cup and InterTOTO cup (including the preliminary rounds)

plus some Japanese, Argentinian, Mexican, Uruguayan and Chilean teams would also be appreciated

SWOS rules !!!!!!!!!!!

thats completely true man...Red Star is a good team as well as Partizan..Steaua did a good job too..other ppl from canada or america wont likely play with these teams but us from europe it would be a real treat if they put them in the game :D

All this talk about Eastern European teams and a Balkan league and somehow nobody has mentioned any Bulgarian teams. Seems odd since Bulgaria finished #15 last year in the UEFA coefficients, ahead of Denmark, Croatia, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Norway, Yugoslavia, Romania, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia and Finland. Bulgaria has a few great teams, including CSKA (Sofia) who have twice reached the semifinals for the UEFA Champions Cup and once reached the semifinals of the UEFA Cup Winners Cup.

Levski (Sofia) was featured in FIFA 2002 which was good but I was also a little disappointed by the completely urealistic presentation of the players, the inaccurate skill ratings and the fact that half of the players on the team were missing. Anyway I'm hoping for some more teams like CSKA and Litex (Lovech) to have made it into FIFA 2003.

I like the Balkan league idea. It would turn out much better than a Brittish league since Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales teams suck beyond belief.

who honestly cares which teams are finished where in whatever divisions?

teams are most likely finalised in fifa, and the only way to get your team/nation, national league in there is to get a patchmaker to make one, which will take a lil' bit more time and patience.

this isn't a competition . .

Well yeah - for the year Israel had a better coefficients than france. After all no French team had nearly as many wins as Hapoel Tel-Aviv. As for what's going to happen this year I don't know... I'm not liking Partizan's chances over Bayern Munchen while Levski beating Dinamo Kiev is a possibility. And Russian teams have done worse each year than the year before for the past 6 years now.
