Spanish dream is having a job.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into those. I bought Bonfire for my girlfriend in Spanish for her b-fay. Might get a copy in Engliah if it's along those lines.

Read The Time Machine by Wells to confirm that I really like his writing. He's not a good writer per se, but his ideas about man's development etc are intersting. Also, three plays by Ionesco who I wanna read more of. Do Romanians love him? Surely there's no one else ypur country has produced?

Just finished the The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Silmarillion in succession. I really liked the latter, very cool mythos.

Laid up on quarters, finally had time to finish For Whom the Bell Tolls. Not a very meaningful book, but I liked the story and thought the war stuff was probably realistic. All the advice about firing a machine gun was at least.

Just finished The Shining, amazing book, the narrative is really impressive. I got scared a couple of times. I can understand now why Joey used to hide it in the freezer.

I've read that book as well. Pretty good in my opinion, i used to be a fan of Stephen King's books a while ago.

Sepak have you seen the movie too? Directed by Kubrick. And if you have a thing for King's books i'd recommend "Everything's Eventual" which is a collection of short stories. I read it when i was young, but it was quite enjoyable. I rarely read books though, i prefer movies, but i think i should start again.

I saw the movie just after finishing the book. They are really different, the book is more about family unity and how Carlos has to deal with his alcoholism, the movie just shows how crazy a man can get(and the hidden symbolisms). However I really liked both perspectives.

And I will read the The Dark Tower series now, also I'm waiting for the Doctor Sleep release.

Just finished Lolita. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta. Poor Lolita. I'm really amazed how well written it is, from the first moment you want to know how H.H. got in that situation and you just can't stop reading in spite of how disturbing the book can be.

I really liked it. The book is pretty hilarious and I at least had a tendency to forget at times that HH was talking about a 12 year old.

Yeah, one of the attributes of a nymphet. I've been thinking and this is the only book in which I don't feel attached to any of the characters.

Did you guess it was Cue before she told him?

Just finished To kill a Mockingbird, such an amazing and meaningful book, definitely one of my favourites, Mr. Atticus Finch is such a man.

I just started "Tender is the Night" by F Scott Fitzgerald. Kind of amazed how I made it this long without reading it, but I have very very high expectations. Fitzgerald might be the only author who has never disappointed me, maybe together with Tolstoy. Even Dostoevsky had Demons which was pretty bad.

Mexican author Jose Revueltas is eagerly next in my sights...I can't believe I haven't read him.
