Did you read the large amount of bands that I like and seen playing live, Bogdan? They were many, wouldn't you say?

Well, NOFX is in my personal top 3! I have all their albums, rare songs, EP's. I even have their exclusive vynil records on mp3! :) I also have 2 live shows on VHS, plus the famous "10 years of f*cking up" tape.
Hmm, now that I think about it, I lent my drummer these vids, and now he's in Holland.:mambo:

NOFX are the dream of every independent band. They tour when they want, have their own label, a huge fan base and probably the best reputation in the punk scene. One thing's for sure: they're one of the best bands EVER!

Yeah, they kick ***. I'm into more of a pop punk and ska scene, so I am not exactly into the NOFX genre, but I think they're amazing. So long and thanks for all the shoes is probably one of my top 5 albums.

I pretty much can't stand em, but their track title "I poured gasoline on the fire and now I have stumps for legs and no eyebrows" stands up next to Bloodduster's "A Tracksuit is Not Appropriate Metal Attire" as one of the funniest song names in a long time! :D

You can't stand them? Hey, lets ban this guy for good. ........:D

The Smiths have some great song titles:

"Some girls are bigger than others","William, it was really nothing", "Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me", etc.:mambo:

My fave NOFX songs? I love them all, man; I can't choose just 5. Anyway, be sure to listen to "Drugs are good", "Electricity" (cover of an 80's band), "Don't call me white" (their anthem), etc.

And you like that? You got issues, mate.:mambo: .......:D

At least in our good old punk gigs it's just music. That's what it's all about, music.

Whilst I normally agree with it being 'just the music', Tool are different in that they try to provide an all-out sensory assault in concert. Their lead singer sings in semi-darkness at the back of the stage, saying perhaps four sentences between songs over the course of a 2 1/2 hour show. They have massive screens projecting trippy images in time with the music. These are all done by their guitarist, Adam Jones. I suggest you check out the Schism clip, it's really fantastically made.

I know that vid very well, actually. I'ver seen it more than 10 times.
I told you before that I like Tool but, as I'm writing these lines, I'm listening to "Fell In Love With A Girl", by The White Stripes, and you can't match the energy, the power, the urgency, the immediacy, the truth of a true passionate punk rock tune. ;)

Dude, you want technically sound, then you don't have to look at images at a concert, the musical talent of bands like NOFX and Rancid far surpass that of Tool.

Tool is just weird and experimental, Rancid and NOFX are amazingly complicated while sounding simple.
