I have been to Colombia and I liked it. And no at least in the UK the common perception of Colombia is no longer that if you go there you are guaranteed to get kidnapped or killed by FARC, but of course there is still a big cocaine association ie. the first question I am asked when I tell people I have been to Colombia is "how was the cocaine?".

as I thought, there's nothing to fear about colombia while you stay at cities and don't go to the deep jungle, actually being foreign guy in Colombia is the best, everybody loves them here
