Yeah it`s a shame that players don`t get much of a say in the matter cause i think burley was having a good time with celtic. We need to boost the defence, what about Hendry (Joke).

The problem with signing players is that your team have already broken their piggy bank. The sale of Burley gives you 3M but as I recall McJohnson is rated at 4.5M? Not to mention he is on a probable next-season Premier team. Speaking from a non-biased point of view, it's your defense that needs work first, then the offense.

Craig Burley has left Celtic for Derby in deal reputed to be worth £3 million. The Scotland internationalist had been a fixture in the Celtic team since his move from Chelsea in 1997, but has struggled to find form this season taking up a more defensive midfield role.
Nevertheless, the free-scoring midfielder's contribution to the club's vital 1998 title-winning season will always be remembered by Celtic fans. They, and the club wish him well with Derby and hope that he enjoys great success there.
